A Load of Pics . . .
A Lot of Plans . . .
And a Friday Impossible Question

Let's start off with some pictures from our very busy Thursday.

On the way to the Veteran's Day program at Delaney's school (don't you just love any pictures that involve toddlers and lollipops?) . . .

Last night was the 5th Grade Scholars Recognition across town. Out of the 80 or so 5th graders at Delaney's school, there were 13 recipients. So, of course, Gary and I were two Proud Parents last night. Delaney is just an outstanding student and we know she will go far academically! And she looked just so grown-up and pretty last night; I'm really starting to realize that she's not my little girl anymore.

Receiving her award . . .

Jaelyn and Delaney after the ceremony (are those two cutie girls or what? do you think Adrienne and I are going to have problems when the boys start coming around? ack!!) . . .

Delaney and Scotti (these girls are two peas in a pod! the other day at lunch, Delaney said they came up with 65 reasons they were alike! They call themselves Long Lost Twins! So cute!) . . .

Delaney and Proud Momma Me! I just love her bunches!! . . .

After the ceremony, I captured my dear Teenage Daughter and Teenage Niece staring blankly into the universe that is MySpace (is every teenager obsessed with this?? lol) . . .

The girls are out of school today, so the plans for this Friday include going to the Dollar Theatre to finally see "Pirates of the Caribbean 2." I know--we're probably the last people in the universe to see this movie, but better late than never.

Then tonight, Hueytown HS plays Huntsville HS in the first round of the state football playoffs. Go Gophers!!

Then tomorrow Delaney goes out of town for her last big softball tournament of the season. Go Thunderbolts!

And, look, even the Barbies in our house know that it's another college football weekend . . .

For the first time in three weeks I won't be going to Tuscaloosa for a game. But I will be cheering on the Tide Saturday night at 6:45. We have a very tough game against LSU and pretty much no one is giving us a chance to win that game, or next week's against Auburn. We are having a dismal season . . . but never say never!! (Please everyone out there in Blog World--even if you don't care a flying flip about football--say a nice little prayer or send some football mojo down our way. We need it! Roll Tide!) I'll also be watching my Texas Longhorns (that's who Barbie's rooting for there!) and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

And now--I forgot to do an Impossible Question last Friday, but I didn' t want to forget it this week. So, here it is . . .

* 10% of the world's population never does THIS common activity because it's not a part of their culture. What is it?

Give it your best shot and post your answer in my comments section. As soon as someone submits the right answer, I will update my post and let everyone know. And the winner? You will get a . . . well, you don't really get anything . . . but you have the respect and admiration of bloggers and blog-readers everywhere!

UPDATE--

Well, after 10 or so WRONG guesses, I told Delaney what the question was. She guessed a few, and then said that she thought she had the right answer. I told her to get online and post it and see if she could win. And she did!! Her guess--KISS--what the correct answer! Way to go D! (I told you she was smart!! LOL)

Also-- Hueytown High School won its football playoff game tonight. YAY!! It was an awesome game; lots of great defensive plays and some really exciting plays to win the game. We won 10-0 and we are headed to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in ages. Go Golden Gophers! (Gotta love that, huh?)

And--we didn't see "Pirates of the Caribbean 2" after all. We got to the theatre and when the previews came up it was upside down! They got it straightened out and it looked okay, then when the movie started there was Johnny Depp upside down too!! Ugh!! The manager--or the teenager who was running the screens this afternoon!--came in to try and fix it and ten minutes later said it was hopeless. The movie wouldn't be running! So, we could get our money back or pick out another movie. We were able to go see "Invincible," which I really wanted to see anyway! This is the movie about the Philadelphia Eagles and the "regular" guy that made the team with them back in the mid 70s (starring Mark Whalberg!) I love any movies that have to do with sports, so I was happy about that one! (And my two DDs and niece decided by the end of the movie that Whalberg was "hot"--I could have told them that! Ha!)

Hope you have a great weekend!!

The photo of the kids staring into MySpace helps me better understand what it is about it that I don't like. I have an account there, but it just isn't the same as here. I always feel like I'm just visiting when I log on to MySpace.

I am so proud of Delaney!! The pictures are great! Of Sydney too!! And, of course, Delaney is beautiful. Just like McKenna. I am going have to think about this question. I would say bathe or brush their toothies but I think it would be more than 10%, so I will keep on working my brain cells.

Cheryl Wray said...

Hey everyone! I was supposed to post that last message from my Mom, but I accidentally posted it by me instead of putting her name in it. Idget, that's me!!

BTW--Delaney got the answer right. It's kissing!!!

Just getting around to catching up with everyone's blogs. Congratulations to Delaney; I know y'all are so proud of her.
And sorry to say, but 'Go Tigers!'

There's so much I want to say.
First, "Hook 'em Horns"!! If you're a football fan or from Texas, you know what that means.

Second, I was going to guess "brush teeth", which was close to the correct answer of Kiss.

Congratulations to Delaney! You should be so proud of her!

You missed out on not seeing the Pirates movie. Johnny Depp is SO HOT!!!!! Uuurrrggghhhh! I feel like a teenager again!

I need to run my hubby on the celeb face thingey. I've been told he looks like Mark Wahlberg with red hair. Yummy...!!!
