Random Tuesday!! It's baaaaccccckkkkkk!!! Aren't you SO excited? LOL After celebrating July 4th on last Tuesday, I got sidetracked a bit (in fact, I'm just starting to feel like I'm living on the "right" days again). But here I am back with a Random Tuesday questionnaire for everyone. As always, share your answers with the rest of us and post them in the comments section. It's TOO much fun to see what everyone else has to say! My random thread for today is home--because, after all, home is really where so much of everything starts! Think about it--your childhood home made a huge impression on you, and today you spend more time at your home than anywhere else (unless you're a workaholic, or you live at the ballpark, which is where Sydney thinks and will tell you that we live! LOL). Home is where our story begins! (btw--isn't that picture at the beginning of today's post cute? It's hanging in bathroom and I love it. Bought it at Fred's, of all places, and just loved it immediately!!) So, for my Random Thoughts today, I'm sharing with all of you-- How Many Homes I Have Lived In: 17 (I think this is right--boy, it seems like a lot! Includes everything from the college dorm I lived in when Mom and Dad first got married and I was born; to the homes and apartments I grew up in from Texas to North Carolina to Arkansas to Alabama); to the college dormitory at Univ of Alabama; to those first aparments and homes; to the house we're in today) What is Your Earliest Memory of a House: I vaguely remember a house we lived in when I must have been three or four. It was in Corsicana, Texas, and I remember running around the yard and getting stung by a bee on my foot. I also remember moving day for some reason (but don't really remember the interior of the house). My earliest vivid memories would be of my house in Farminton, Arkansas; this is where I lived most of my childhood and I have some wonderful memories of that neighborhood, yard, and house (and that tree in the front yard, where I laid my beach towel beneath it and read for hours!!) I think I could write a book about this, but I'll stop now . . . Your Favorite Room in Your House Now: My favorite room would have to be my living room. We don't do as much "living" in it, because the computer and tv and larger space is in the den. But I love the living room because it's cozy and the colors are soothing, and the couch is so comfortable! It's where I read my latest books and magazines, take occasional naps, and enjoy the cool air. Your Favorite Thing on Your Walls: This is another hard one. I considered saying the framed print of the Gorgas House on the Alabama campus (this is where Gary and I were married) or the print of Thomas Kinkaid's print, "McKenna's Cottage" (which Gary just bought me for Christmas last year for obvious reasons). But I'd have to say that my favorite thing is the line of black and white photos I have lining the upstairs hall. It includes black and whites of me with my grandfather, my brother with our other grandfather, me in childhood, our wedding photo, and some pics of the girls. Just like looking at those photos everyday! So, I'm tagging you now. Share with us your-- Number of Homes You've Lived In: Earliest Memory of a House: Favorite Room in Your House: Favorite Thing on Your Walls: Email to me or post below in comments. Can't wait to hear everyone's answers! Have a wonderfully random Tuesday! (Remember to stop and smell the roses!)

Number of Homes You've Lived In: 5 - including the one I live in now. When I was born we lived in Bessemer a couple of blocks behind the park on Hwy 150 until I was in the 3rd grade. Then we moved to Virginia Mines and I lived in that house til 1988 and only moved 1 mile away and lived there for almost 12 years! After that I moved a couple of blocks away from the Hueytown High School stadium and lived there for 4 years til Ryan and I moved to Oak Grove 2 years ago. Not very exciting huh?
Earliest Memory of a House: I remember being probably about 3 or 4 years old, scared to death in the middle of the night and running as fast as I could across the hall to my parents bedroom and jumping on the bed with them! The house wasn't very big, but I liked my room, and the back yard.
Favorite Room in Your House: I will have to say my living room/den. That's where we stay most (when we're home!) We bought a new living room suite back in October and I absolutely love it. My couch is very comfortable to curl up and watch TV or read, with a blanket of course!
Favorite Thing on Your Walls: First I enjoy looking at the pics of the girls when they were smaller, and last year Melissa, Nichole and I took our first bucks (deer) and I have them on the wall with the pics beside them. (I know I'm not like most women!)

Number of Homes You've Lived In: 13, including my moves from NH to ME and back as well as moves within the state, and one short adventure to SC.
Earliest Memory of a House: Our house in CT. I can tell you the exact layout of the house, also what my bedroom looked like (I had one of those old wooden kitchen sets that took up a whole wall). We moved when I was 7, but still remember my first crush living in CT in kindergarten, and what our yard looked like, etc.
Favorite Room in Your House: I have to say my scrapping room/office, although at the moment it is a total war zone, so not very comfortable.
Favorite Thing on Your Walls: My wedding photo of the entire family. I don’t have anything on my walls other than this (I am guessing the educational posters for homeschooling don’t count). Our wedding was the blending of two families. All our daughters and sons were our bridesmaids and ushers.
Hey! I thought I'd actually leave you a post since I'm one of those that loves to read your blog but I never comment! So, here goes...
Number of Homes You've Lived In: 9.. wow that's a lot more than I thought..
Earliest Memory of a House: My earliest memory would be at my Mom & Dad's in Hueytown. I remember playing by an old Red Oak that use to be by the house (not there now). I also remember playing with a toy train on the back porch (not there now either!).
Favorite Room in Your House: Hmmm, don't know that I have one. I guess the living room in the winter with a big fire built in the fireplace!
Favorite Thing on Your Walls: My 14 point, 20" spread whitetail buck that score 167 7/8 B&C. Pretty cool except when they put a big bow around it's neck at christmas!
Cheryl you have a great Blog and even though I live through all that you describe, I absolutely love reading your discriptions of our life together. I Love You!
Number of Homes You've Lived In: 3(including the one I live in now)When I was born, in an apartment in Tuscallosa, then a house in Centerpoint when my parents got divorced and now here in Hueytown.
Earliest Memory of a House: I remember this one night in Centerpoint that we were dancing in the living room and then I got sick. =/
Favorite Room in Your House: I would have to say that either the den or my room is my favorite room. I love the den because its got the computer in it, or my room because that's like where I live. Or the living room in the winter reading a good book by the fire place just like Pop said.=]
Favorite Thing on Your Walls: well maybe my plate in my room that says the thing about Live Laugh Love. i don't know exactly what It says but yeah.
Number of Homes You've lived in: 22 - from Hueytown, Al, (all over Alabama)Florida, South Carolina, Virginia and Oklahoma. Yes, my father moved around a lot, then I would get the itch and a terrible ex-husband and move too.
Earliest memory of a House: I lived across the street from my grandparents. I remember my room and living room vividly. It does not look anything like it did back then, because Aunt Clara and Uncle Larry remodeled completely. In fact, their dining room was my bed room, lol and the front bedroom was the living room, now isn't that funny how you can remember something so young.
Favorite room in my house: I would have to say my living room. It is large and everyone is in their. In fact it connects to the dinning room and kitchen. So you can listen quietly to what everyone is saying. I'm just nosey that way, you know?
Favorite thing on my wall: I have two. One is an original painting by Comanche Code Talker Tim Saupitty - "Ceremonial Head Dress" It has all the vibrant colors of an Comanche Indian preparing his dance. The second, it a painting my Mom had done of my two babies, Lacy J - Brindle Boxer and Boomer - Lasa Opsa. Of course I love my hall wall of fame - The family.
I'm sitting in my hotel room in Atlanta answering emails. Thought I would take a break and play!
Number of Homes You've Lived In: I believe it is 13
Earliest Memory of a House: The 1st home I lived in, in California. I was 3 yrs old and the day we were moving from California to Alabama I lost my baby doll (baby beans, if any of you remember). My dad and I went back in the house one last time to try and find it and all I remember was how empty it looked. I don't remember any details, only that it was empty. By the way, my mother found my doll years later. It was one of the presents she gave me when I graduated from high school.
Favorite Room in Your House: It would have to be my kitchen. I love a spacious kitchen. I can see everything going on outside and that is where everyone enters my house. You should have added "Least favorite room" and I would have given you Chase's room. It's the room where we are likely to go when we can't find any of our drinking glasses...
Favorite Thing on Your Walls: Right now it would have to be our family portriet of me, Chase, and Kylie that we just had made at the church, along with Chase's graduation picture that I just recently added.

Favorite Thing on Your Walls: PICTURES OF MY FAMILY
Number of Homes You've Lived In: 12; Born in Lewiston, NY, I lived in 2 different homes there from birth until I was 18. I still remember both addresses but I can't remember what I did today. Then my Dad decided he hated the snow so we moved to Tuscaloosa, AL, now he hates the heat. MEN! After about six months of Tuscaloosa, I decided to join the Navy and moved to Orlando for Boot Camp and Tech School. Then I moved to San Antonio, TX for Police Officer training. Then I got my first orders to Misawa, Japan. For 3 years I lived in a tiny barracks room. Moved back to Meridian, MS so I could finish up my time in the Navy. Then moved back to Tuscaloosa. Got out of the Navy in March 1997. Met my future husband in May 1997. We were married August 30, 1997. Wow.
Earliest Memory of a House: I remember being 4 or 5, in the basement watching my Dad shoot pool and drink beer and playing his 8-tracks Bob Seger, KISS really loud. I always sat in the corner on this giant glass bottle that was half way full of pennies. I liked it because it sat up higher so I could get a better view of the game.
Favorite Room in Your House: Matthew and Garretts room, I love organizing all there toys and seeing what needs batteries. I know I'm weird. Hey I collect cleaning and organizing books.
Favorite Thing on Your Walls: Old Victorian pictures of mothers holding there babies. Love the way that the mother looks at her baby. It's so honest and peaceful it really soothes me.
Ok, as I was sitting in the living room thinking of your blog, I began to really thing. I stated I had lived in 22 homes since birth. I was talking with Momma and Dad then realized their were homes I had forgotten. In fact, I have lived in 26 different homes. Can you beleive that? 26? I'm only 44, that puts me moving every 1 1/2 years. And to think of moving now, would KILL me. Just thought I would up date you Cheryl. I figured Gary would catch it if I hadn't, lol
Number of Homes You've Lived In:3
Lived in one house from birth until college. After various dorms/apartments got married and have lived in two houses here in Hueytown.
Earliest Memory of a House: Listening to music with my brothers and sister and playing GI Joes all over the house.
Favorite Room in Your House: Ok, this is pre-ceiling cave in/redecorating started, right now, the house is in a state of chaos. Before that, the living room has the most comfortable furniture and is great for reading and snoozing. Of course there is also the bedroom which is a great place to snooze and cuddle. We have a huge king size bed and it's great to pile all 4 of us in it and watch tv and snuggle
Favorite Thing on Your Walls: Right now there is absolutely nothing on our wall (redecorating) except in our bedroom we have a great pic from our wedding. Before redecorating we had some great B&W pics of mine and Allison's parents and grandparents. Allison did a great job of framing and arranging them!!
Number of Homes You've Lived In: 2
Earliest Memory of a House: when me and my dad were in the backyard,I was hitting softballs and i hit one over our fence and it rolled into the person's backyard from across the street and we never found it.
Favorite Room in Your House: the den and my room
Favorite Thing on Your Walls: the drawing of me that a famous artist drew
How many homes have I lived in:5 this includes the house I grew up in, dorms(which i counted as 1 but really should be three), 2 apartments post college and 2 houses.
Earliest house memories: playing hide and seek with my sibs(I was the only one small enough to fir behind the couch and even if I was found they couldn't reach me) Also the cement stairs that attached to the back porch(now covered by the deck attached to the house)- i hated these stairs because my brother pushed us down them every chance he got. Most memories of my childhood aren't so great!
Favorite room in our house: Our bedroom- seems to be the place we all pile in to watch tv and snuggle and be silly.
Favorite thing on our walls: not on our walls right now(see ryans comments) but there are photos framed together of me wearing my moms high heels and both girls wearing my shoes. We are all about the same age in the photos(2-3) and it just makes me smile.
P.S.- home is where you are with the people you love and you are happy in ;your heart!!!
