I'm Just a Scrappin' ...

Well, it's gotten to where I'm addicted to the Scrapjacked blog. I eagerly await the challenges both on the first of the month and then again around mid-month. The idea? You look at their focus scrapbook page and you have to take it as your own inspiration to create a page. You can copy it pretty directly, take technique ideas from it, use the color combos as inspiration--whatever you need to make it your own!

This was the scrapjack page this month, by Adrienne Looman.

I was inspired by--the scalloped edge paper, the rub-ons, and the black& white. And this is what I came up with . ..

The pictures are from a spend-the-night Delaney and Jaelyn had together back near the beginning of the year. The journaling says: "an impromptu slumber party with jaelyn meant giggling, watching movies, and eating lots of snacks.. . and whenever delaney is involved, it means a tacky fashion show!"

(The scan is a little bit wonky at the bottom, but it was missing the bottom journaling and I had a challenging time stitching the bottom on. I hope you get the idea!)

I really love how it turned out and I love the Scrapjack challenges!! How I would love to get selected as a finalist one of these days (they award a prize to the Big Winner each month and it is always just as inspiring to see what everyone else creates!)

I've got a few other scrapbook things going on. I'm actually visiting with Mom today and we are working on a mini album for my Grandma, who will turn 80 on March 26th. I've also got to finish a page to be put up at Scrapbook Mania. AND I've got to get a few things ready for another Fundraising Scrapbook Day we're doing at church (it's Saturday, March 31st, from 10 am to 10 pm and all the proceeds go to the youth trip McKenna's going on to Europe. It's $30 and includes lunch, supper, snacks, door prizes, and a lot of fun!!)

On a different note, real quick...

I LOVED all the answers you guys and gals gave to my fun meme yesterday. If you didn't stop by yesterday, you should go back and read everyone's answers. Very fun and you can learn a lot about your blog friends! LOL (I also seriously need some of the recipes for the food you guys mentioned--Bread Pudding, Overnight Sausage Bake, etc. Yumm-o!! My food choices yesterday was nothing compared to what you all had, obviously!!)
