Scrapbook Pages and then a (real quick) Random Tuesday list...

We had a massive storm here last night (wind blowing, rain pouring, and leaves everywhere this morning), so my Internet was screwed up for a while. So here I am arriving to my Tuesday morning Blog Show just a little bit later than planned. Sorry!

Thought I'd share a couple of scrapbook creations first. I haven't had a chance to do as much lately as I've wanted to (I wanted to scrap all weekend, but didn't do ONE thing!), but I did get two challenges done and a few pages from "20 Things to Do This Summer" album (now that it's Fall! LOL) over the past week!

First is my page for the Scrapjacked challenge this time around. It's actually one of my pages for my summer book. This one was for #15 on the list, which was "do at least five random acts of kindness." No pictures, just journaling; but I loved the design idea from Scrapjacked . . .

Then is my layout for the Unpubbed challenge. I got it in late, but I still wanted to do it...since my blog friend and fellow Bama girl Leah was the featured scrapbooker this week. I did a layout based on the conversation I shared with all of you a little while back (it's back on my Oct. 3 post if you want to read it). It was the sweetest time with Sydney ...

And then a few more of my summer pages. (If you remember, I came up with a list of 20 different things I wanted to do over the summer, which worked out really great because it gave me a tangible list of things to do. We did some fun things we wouldn't have done otherwise!)

#1 on my list was "start a summer family reading program," which worked out pretty well. All five of us (yes, even Scout!) kept track of the books we read (or had read to us in her case! lol) and we all did pretty well (the sheets of notebook paper on this layout have lists of the books each of us read). We never did have our "reading program meeting," when we were going to discuss our favorite book from the summer. Time just slipped away from me. But it was a good start...

#10 was "make McKenna a scrapbook of her trip to Europe" and, yes, I did get started on
it. But I haven't finished it yet. That is a project to get done soon!! ...

#16 was "throw a party" and, while I didn't really do what I wanted to do (I wanted to host an adult dinner party or outdoor barbecue!), this page still turned out cute with pics from Delaney's big birthday party and of the High School Musical 2 cupcakes I made for a little get-together with Adrienne...

I have two more pages to do and I'll be finished with my "2o Things to Do this Summer" album. I'll need to find a cute album to put all the pages in, and I think it will be a great thing to look back at over the years and remember what we did in 2007!

And now, because it is Tuesday, I need to post something for my regular Random Tuesday ramblings. Yvonne tagged me on the "7 Random facts about me" meme and I've done it several times before. So, instead of 7 "big" things about me here are just some 7 "right now" things about me...

1. I baked peanut butter cookies last night and they were so good (even had them for breakfast!)

2. I love sleeping while it's raining. It sounded so nice last night!

3. My cell phone's ringtone is the Alabama fight song.

4. Delaney's middle school newcomb team played last night and they won their matches!

5. My in-laws are hosting a youth Halloween party this next weekend and I'm in charge of making Halloween-themed treats. (Right now I'm thinking Monster Cupcakes, Ghost Cookies, and Homemade Caramel Popcorn).

6. Last night's episode of "Heroes" was so good!

7. I will pick up the girls late from school today because McKenna has debate team and Delaney has math team. I believe in my girls being involved and am so glad they're social. It keeps them out of trouble!

and

#8 (just because I had one extra to share). I'm hoping to go to Costume Bunko tonight at my friend Allison's house. It will be my first night of dressing up for Halloween!

So that's it for today! Have a SUPER FANTASTIC Tuesday!!!

I wonder if your big wind was the one that almost blew me off my mountain a few days ago?! It has been a regular event recently, and I'm glad to have it over and done! Hope it doesn't last as long for you.

Great post, Cheryl. And the LO's look wonderful. I need to get back in the scrapping swing of things myself. Hey, maybe if you come over one weekend, we can scrap together. You've been known to motivate me before...:-).

Enjoy the rest of your day!
