Merry Christmas Eve!!!

"Time to wake up! It's Christmas Eve"

"Merry Christmas Eve!!"

"I'm so excited. Santa Claus comes tonight!!!"

Yep, these are the shouts ringing out in our house right now. It's Christmas Eve and everyone is SO excited (well, except Sydney, who doesn't want to wear the dress we just put on here and isn't really quite ready to wake up!)

We are getting ready to head down to my parents' house for our first Christmas gathering. We will enjoy a Christmsa brunch, read the Christmas story, and spend time with my brother, his wife, and two boys. We will go crazy opening up way more presents than we deserve, and open up stockings custom-made for each of us (one of our favorite traditions!). Then tonight, we will head over to Gary's parents where we will eat yet again (yumm!), go crazy opening up more presents, and enjoy more time with family. It's a very busy day, but a very GOOD one filled with laughter, fun, family, and food (or at least, that's the plan; hopefully, the true Christmas spirt will be out in abundance and tempers won't get the best of any of us! lol)

I hope all of you have a WONDERFUL Christmas Eve and then another WONDERFUL Christmas Day tomorrow!! My computer is still on the blink ((I'm on Gary's again right now), and I am SO upset that I haven't had the chance to visit all of your blogs to wish you a personal greeting. Just know that I AM thinking of all of you and wish you and your families the most blessed of holidays. May your days be filled with the knowledge of God's love and grace, and may you enjoy your time in a rested, contented way. (And I promise to get to your blogs all very soon! Keep your fingers crossed for my computer!)

Now...let me leave you with the climactic scene from my very favorite Christmas movie ever. We watched it last night (another tradition in our family) and, yes, I cried again even though I've seen it like fifty times!

Go HERE to see it!!!!

Hi Cheryl....this movie ALWAYS makes me cry! I LOVE IT! And it reminds me of my dad because it was one of his favorite Christmas movies! We used to watch it together. Thanks for the memories. And the link. I just got myself a good, happy memories, cry. Merry Christmas Eve my friend.

Funny how we all have a fave Christmas movie. Mine is definitely A Christmas Carol, with Patrick Stewart. LOVE it, watch it every Christmas Eve. I'm just waiting for my kids to come back from my sister's (they went to visit!) to start watching it!
Thank you for the pecan balls recipe! I never bake, but as we speak, my dough is chilling in the fridge... I'll tell you how they come out!
Merry Christmas to you, too!

My daughter is in bed and she keeps thinking of reasons to yell something at me or get up and come in the living room. *LOL*
