"Celebrate Good Times...C'mon On!!!!'

Yep, I'm dipping back into some Kool and the Gang for my post title this morning. (Boy, did I ever love that song! I can still remember doing a cheerleading tryout routine to it!! Memories...)

I am celebrating this morning with some special people in my life. So join in with me if you will.

First off...

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
to my wonderful Mom and Dad!

I could not ever imagine having more wonderful parents than my own. They were incredible "growing-up" parents (meaning they taught me so many great lessons and created so many wonderful memories for me and my brother!) and today they are incredible "now that I'm grown up" parents. They are always there for me; are fantastic grandparents; and are still creating wonderful memories with me (we can get to giggling and acting silly with the best of them!).

And, as a married couple, they are a great example of devotion! They met as freshmen in college in the 60s, got married three months to the day that they met, had me a year later, stuck it out through thick-and-thin, and today they celebrate 41 years of marriage! (Although sometimes,I'm not sure how they put up with each other over the years. But they always have! My Dad can be a little sarcastic--I got that from him! lol--and Mom can be very "energetic." She's like a hyper little butterfly who is always flitting around with something new on her plate. But somehow they are perfect for each other! And that inspires me!) So...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. I love you!

And let me go ahead and give another shout-out, even though this doesn't officially happen until tomorrow...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
to my mother-in-law, Clara!!!!!

I am so blessed with an amazing set of in-laws, and tomorrow is Clara's special day. And it's not just a little bit special...it's a WHOLE LOT special. She turns SIXTY!!!!!

I always say that when you see a wonderful husband and father, you can give that man's mother most of the credit. So, since Gary is such a fantastic Pop to the girls and husband to me, I figure some of that must be because of the wonderful example he had in his Mom.

Clara is a wonderful Mom, mother-in-law, and grandmother. So...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

I hope to find the time to celebrate both of these events this weekend, although it is already jam-packed full of activities (McKenna's band banquet, Delaney's softball practice, a friend's birthday party, etc.). But--as I always say--there's always room for cake. So you know we will celebrate!!!

And cmon now, because I knew you were already singing it in your head. Join in with me...

I hope you all have a wonderful, wonderful weekend. Find something to celebrate!!!!!

Happy Anniversary to Mom and Dad! Happy Birthday to Mother in law! Wow, you really do have lots going on at the same time. I loved the tribute to your Mom and Dad. Parents are so special and you are very blessed to have them still together. My parents divorced when I was two. Hey, eat enough cake for me to, since I am on this diet and can not have any!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend girl!
