Everybody’s been there, everyone’s the same
but mostly we don’t care. Isn’t that a shame?
We bring us down, face after face
the inside is beautiful but the outside we want to change.
We want to change.
Whoa you’re oh so beautiful, you don’t need anyone’s approval
You’ve got to believe in your self. You know you are
You’re crazy beautiful
Well every new year you say your gonna change
There's no need to change
We're different but the same
In the eyes of the King
We're beautifully made
In his image we're made
Whoa you’re oh so beautiful, you don’t need anyone’s approval
You’ve got to believe in your self you know you are
You’re crazy beautiful
Take a look it’s all around you
See the world from different views
The way you shine from the inside
I know with out a doubt
It’s more than what you’ll be
In the world’s eyes.
Whoa you’re oh so beautiful, you don’t need anyone’s a approval
You’ve got to believe in your self you know you are
You’re crazy beautiful.
This was my favorite song (well, except for one called "Happy Day" that involved jumping up and down repeatedly like you were in a mosh pit!!) from this past weekend. An amazing group called Chasen came and sang at our youth's weekend retreat. They rocked the house...and had such a wonderful message!
The lyrics to this song are exactly what I try and teach my girls! That they are "crazy beautiful" in my eyes and, much more importantly, in God's eyes. So I guess that's my message to you today too...You are CRAZY BEAUTIFUL!
(Hey...go check out the group at www.myfreshnewmusic.com. If you enter the site you can hear this exact song playing!)
And, I'm still waiting to post some pics for all of you. I have a few, but I want to put them all up at the same time. So, hopefully later today!

Awww I think that is a beautiful sentiment. I wish every girl felt "crazy beautiful". Self esteem rocks!
P.S. My husband is from the same Summerville you visited. Love that town. Love it.
love those lyrics!
:)
gorgeous...I love the words, I have tried to teach my girls the same. sometimes, society gets in the way and we don't have lots of control over that..but teach the best you can. Love the lyrics to the song, they really have a special meaning...thanks for the share.
Love the words.. Have agreat week!
wow, how beautiful, those words just spoke to me
What a crazy beautiful post! Wanting to "change" is such a diffitult thing to deal with when you have girls. Oh my goodness!!! But like you, I've tried to teach my girls that it's not all about what you look like on the outside. It's the INside that counts. And if you're beautiful on the inside, more than likely, it's gonna seep out :-).
Thanks for sharing.
Love those lyrics!!!
love the words to this!
Those lyrics are beautiful, and so true. More people need to teach their children the same thing-- self esteem is so important.
GREAT lyrics Cheryl!
