Snow, Snow, Snow....and More Snow!!!

All you Northern readers...forgive me for our EXCITEMENT!!! Yes, that's me screaming because it's SNOWING outside!!! We never get snow down South (in fact, this is the first time that Sydney has seen any more than just a few flurries falling from the sky that are hard to decipher as actually snow; and she's almost 4 years old), and Delaney cries at the end of every winter season when it hasn't snowed!

So...we were extremely excited when we got up this morning to see snow falling down. And not just a little bit of snow, but pretty decent-sized, consistently-falling snowflakes.

We are actually about to head out to Tennessee for a Winterguard competition for McKenna's high school squad, but we had to delay our departure until we were able to play in the snow for a bit!

Of course, I had to take pictures! (Delaney's friend Kayla was with us; and Adrienne's kids came over too. Lots of happy kids!)

Now that we are sufficiently cold and wet, we are ventured out to watch McKenna and her team perform this afternoon and evening. Delaney's friend is going with us and I'm sure there will be bed-jumping pictures to share when we return! LOL

Wish us luck as we leave the snow-laden land! And we will see you Monday with an update on everything!

In the meantime, here are a few "catch up" pictures from this past week. Sydney going to dance class (it was a great success this time! yay!) and then pictures from Delaney's baptism. They are SO making it into a scrapbook soon!

Love ya!

I'm getting reports of snow in SC, too! That's crazy. It hasn't snowed back home since I was in high school, and even then, it wasn't really snowing!

So glad you got a smattering of the white stuff. Have a great weekend!

:)

YAY...I'm SO glad ya'll finally got some snow. We didn't wake up to any this morning. But not long after waking up, it was starting to fall (I've added new pix if you wanna see). I'm so glad Sydney got to, not only SEE the snow, but play in it for a little bit. How exciting.

Be safe on your trip to TN. Talk with you when you get back.

You can have ALL of the snow as far as I am concerned! LOL We are supposed to get some Monday night. It's pretty to look at, but not all that fun to drive in. (I enjoy it most when I have nowhere to go and can snuggle up in a nice warm blanket and drink a cup of Starbuck's Peppermint Hot Chocolate!)

It's COLD here! Only up to 18 degrees today and a low of 7 degrees tonight. That's not including wind chill factors. BRRRRRR!

Have fun at the competition! Stay warm!

SNOW!!!! I want some snow!! (she said in a very whiney, jealous voice). You guys are soooo lucky! I could move to Alaska and cause that state to never see snow again - that's how my winter luck runs. lol Gosh I wish I was there to play in it...

They called for snow for us all week and this morning called it off. We did get some snow Thursday night though. It looked so pretty but was all melted the next morning. I love looking at your pictures. Hope you have a nice weekend. God Bless!

And here we are in Upstate NY, getting no snow. I guess I don't really mind. We had snow for Christmas and that's enough for me.

What a blessing to partake in the baptism of your daughter.

LOL you guys have had more snow than I have had this year and do you know what - you can keep it ;-)
I heard that TN was expecting snow this weekend too. Hey perhaps this is the start of the south becoming cold and the north being warm. If everyone in the south moved north to get away from the cooler temperatures would the US tip down like a seesaw and fall underneath Canada??? I can imagine what your Canadian readers might say to that :-P

Congrats to Delaney on her Baptism. Was it just her getting baptised or was everyone else in those orange t-shirts going through it too?

I have never seen snow! Stop laughing. I live in So Cal after all. Anytime I've ever traveled to Big Bear to see it, it has stopped and for the most part, melted.

*Insert large sigh here*
