Sharing some Scrappy Creations!

I have not had the time to really scrapbook like I've wanted to lately (doing other stuff like... washing clothes, staying obsessed with football's National Signing Day all day today, going to our Ash Wednesday service tonight, taking the girls to and from drama practice, winterguard practice, dance class, etc., etc.), but I have done a little bit at a time here and there. And, over the past week I have done several pages I thought I'd share with you all.

(And I'm totally hoping to find the time to do some scrappin' this weekend too. I suddenly have a free Friday night for scrapbooking. Anyone want to hang out and scrap and eat together? lol)

Okay, here is a page of Sydney with Santa. I have really stream=lined my scrapping process lately and I am probably only going to do one other, two-page Christmas layout that is a general layout with different photos from various celebrations. (Well, and one of pictures from Sydney's Christmas play.) I've really gotten to where I only like to scrap the meaningful photos and avoid Photo and Scrap Overload.

This one's just super-simple. One 5 x 7 pic, journaling about the "just five presents" she wanted from Santa, and like five products (cardstock, patterned paper, glitter stickers that I got from the dollar spot at Target, and some cute little brads that I've had probably since 2000 and haven't used yet!).

You all remember the fantastic experience we had just two weeks ago with Delaney getting baptized? I used the two really good pictures from that awesome morning, journaled about her decision and how cool the service was, and then used these really great cardstock stickers from Flair Designs (and my local scrapbook store, Scrapbook Mania). The piece of paper is from the Dollar Tree (imagine that!).

Oh my gosh, I LOVE this paper from Tinkering Ink (from Scrapbook Mania again)!!!! and I LOVE the little chipboard accents (from SM too!) that I just either painted or marked up with a sharpie (yep, that's a cool little technique that works great!). I thought these funky pictures of McKenna and her friend Cassi worked great with this funky paper. And you see how I journaled? Journaling on little paper strips is one of my very favorite ways to do it!

And then here is a page that really epitomizes the kind of scrapbooking I like to do. It's more of a reflective page that isn't really based on an event or an experience. Just took the inspiration from the Amazing Grace line of papers here and did some journaling about how I feel about Delaney these days. And I LOVE those big ole flowers!

And then...how could I NOT do some pages based on the snowfall we got a couple of weeks ago? Since we absolutely NEVER get snow down here, it was an absolute MUST to do a scrapbook page about it. I did a two-page layout and really like how it turned out. I piled all of my photos onto these two pages, but I don't think it ended up looking too cluttered. And those cool hearts? They are some of the fun goodies that Theresa sent me last week. Thanks sweetie!!

Well...that's it for tonight (yep, posting in the evening...that's kinda weird for me). I hope you all have a wonderful evening and tomorrow. If you are a scrapbooker, what are you working on these days?

Love the LO's! I'm in a slump, so not much scrapping from me these days. I made a little acrylic mini that I need to post, but other than that, just the challenges.

:)

Loved the pages, Cheryl. I've put my scrapbooking aside in favor of making cards these days. I will pick up again when we return from our winter retreat. I'd love to scrap out in LV but we're flying this time and can't take that much stuff. I will do some stamping though.

I loved all the pages, maybe Delaney's a little more than the others.

I envy you the Ash Wednesday service, our church doesn't have one. Do you get ashes? I love that tradition. It is really a sobering experience for me.

I'm so happy to count you among my blogger friends.
