I hate it when...

I lose something. For some reason, I lose things A LOT these days (remember my post about being clumsy a few days back? I think that clumsiness and absent-mindedness must go hand-in-hand). In the last couple of days, I have lost some important paperwork, my keys and cell phone (several times each!), and the battery charger for my camera.

But I love it when...

My husband goes on a late-night Walmart run to buy me a new battery charger and comes home with some fun surprises instead. I kinda had been crossing my fingers that he'd bring me home a bottle of wine or some yummy baked goods, but he did one better. He came home with this...

How's that for a fun, new toy to play with?

I love it when...

Sydney gets to creating and it turns out so, well, creative.
Yes, she chalked up the side of the house! A younger Mom than I (or me as a Mom when I was much younger!) might yell at her, "What did you do?" and then scold her. I thought about it for a moment, then decided to chill out and appreciate how happy she was in telling me, "Look what I made!"

But I hate it when...

You have to hose down the house, just to "clean up" her creativity. (Because More Mature Mom Me still did have to clean it up!)

I also hate it when...

Your eleven-year=old jumps into the car after school and says, "That was just about the worst day ever!" Friends were mad at other friends; there was middle=school drama going on to the umpteenth degree; her eyes are welling up with tears; and all you can do is say, "It will all be better tomorrow."

And I love it when...

It's all better tomorrow.

I love it when...

It's warm enough outside that you open up your den doors, enjoy the sunshine, and do some scrapbooking with the 70-degree breeze blowing in on you.

(Here are two funky layouts I made yesterday. I was in a fun mood--what with the warm breeze and all!

"Right Now"...

"She loves Hannah Montana and Starbucks"...

And, finally, I love it when...

You have so much to look forward to over the weekend! Softball, Winter Guard, cupcakes, presents, and the joy of turning 4-years-old (Scout!) and 16-years-old (McKenna!).

{What are you loving? hating? looking forward to?}

Aww great post!
I have a younger Mum in me too,who would have freaked about the art.
She's mostly gone now;)
The art turned out so beautiful!

I'm not really hating anything..ok,I am. I hate it when I go off on a rant and then feel embarassed afterwards, even though I still feel exactly what I was ranting about. I guess I should improve upon my delivery;p

I LOVE it when I wake up and the sun is shining, the coffee takes seconds to brew and I'm in a clear focused mood!

I am looking forward to going to the library this weekend and grocery shopping, lol

I love how you described the younger mom and older mom!

I am hating that it snowed again last night! Loving spending the morning with my cats!

Oh Cheryl,

I've just read your last two posts and I'm blown away. I LOVE it when I read your posts. I HATE it that I only get to use the internet sporadically. That's one of the things I'll LOVE about going home.

You conversations post made me cry. I remember the conversation Jim and I had the night our son was still-born. And I wish I had had more conversations telling people how much they mean to me.

I really have to do a post about those things. Like you, I come from a family of story-tellers.

I see you dropped in on Tracy. She is amazing. She is young enough to be my daughter and yet I learn soooo much from her as a neighbor.

Have a blessed day.

Love coming over to Cheryl's and seeing what she's been up to. :)

Love getting into my nest at the end of the day, book and hot tea in hand.

Love cuddling with anyone in the fam, but especially Big.

Hate the way I can needlessly complain or over-react.

Looking forward to going to Hilton Head in about a week. Especially since it's s.n.o.w.i.n.g. in Seattle as I type.

Love your post!

I love that you can see the buds on the trees and soon we will be sitting outside watching soccer games instead of inside a big gym.

I am not liking that this second half of winter has found us all SICK, SICK, SICK!

Cool post.

I luv it when I can jump out of bed, grab my coffee and craft away the day.

I hate after crafting all day, that I have to cook, clean and do laundry...lol

I love it when I have a week-end all to myself to look forward to (two weeks away hopefully)

I hate it when I feel coerced into doing something/going somewhere that I really don't want to go.
That's my answer in a nutshell but oh I could go on and on!
