Our Thanksgiving Chain Tells the Story
Our special little tradition (throughout the month of November, writing down things we're thankful for; making them into a chain; and reading them together on Thanksgiving morning) yielded some special results.
The chain tells the real story. It tells us that, as a family, we are thankful for (in our own words)...
Friends. They are always there for you and fun to be around.
Birthdays and holidays and reasons to celebrate.
Alabama football being number one.
Cat Mom Pop Pawpaw Nannie Seasons God
The #1 team in the nation. (I see a theme developing.)
ME Friends (Sydney's kinda run together. But, so sweet.)
Seeing my family on Thanksgiving.
Cat Mom Pop McKenna Delaney
My church, my Christian friends, my Sunday School class, the Bible.
Boys who aren't like the others--like Brett--who puts up with me even when he shouldn't. He cares for me so much, despite my shenanigans. (McKenna is currently quite infatuated.)
Freedom of expression. Freedom of religion. Freedom to say, "Roll Tide." (yes, definitely a trend.)
"Lost" coming back.
Dog Cat Mom Pop Zebras The Zoo
A roof over my head, food to eat, clothes to wear.
Music, cheesecake, and boys.
Kisses from Sydney and "I love you too"s
All my family.
Great wine and food.
My job, and being able to support us.
My loving wife.
A good book.
Hunting and the outdoors.
All of my daughters.
Good friends, good food, good family.
Smiles, laughter, hope.
Myspace, photography, and tv.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all. May it be filled with joy and laughter...and a true understanding of how much we truly have. (And as much turkey and dressing as you can handle!)
