Anticipation

Santa Claus.

And also...
Our family Advent times.
Christmas cookies.
Seeing family.
Decorating the tree.
Writing a letter to Santa.
Making ornaments.
Christmas breakfast.
Christmas dinner.
The kids Christmas play.
Getting cards and letters in the mail.
Changing the date on the Advent calendar.
Seeing a loved one open their gift.
Christmas Eve candlelight service.
Singing the Twelve Days of Christmas.
A Christmas girls night out with friends.
Opening my gifts.
It's a Wonderful Life.
Christmas pajamas.
Getting Gary the "just right" gift.
Waking up on Christmas morning.
The joy on the faces of my girls.

So much to anticipate.

What do you anticipate most during the holiday season?

We are headed to Disney World on Christmas day so I'm gearing up for our trip. It's 12 degrees here at 3 in the afternoon so I'm looking forward to Florida.

I love our family times we get to share at Christmas. I love to get up on Christmas morning, start a fire, make coffee, open gifts and just have a relaxed morning. My siblings and their families and my Mom are coming here on Christmas Eve. I got LOTS of work to do in a short period of time! I'm really excited though.

The thing I anticipate most is seeing the kids faces when they open their presents on Christmas morning in their pajamas with their hair sticking up 7 ways to Sunday. LOL

I still can remember the anticipation I had for Christmas morning when I was little.

I don't what it is about fire trucks but that seems to be the mode of transport for Santa in parades all over the world. Are they expecting his beard to catch fire during the parade and so need lots of water very close by or is it in case he's too heavy from all of the chocolates he's consumed that he needs a ladder to climb down off the truck??? Hehe.

I anticipate that Christmas day is on 25th December each year and so far I've gotten it right. Lol :-P

What a great post, Cheryl. I was awash in anticipation as I looked at your pictures. I could see Santa in the distance. The look on Scout's face was priceless as she waited for Santa.

Like you, my list of things is long. I am so looking forward to a quiet Christmas day with Jim. I bought "us" the first season of "Big Bang Theory" and plan to watch several episodes in our pj's.

As usual, you have given me a good topic for a post. Stay tuned.

I'm off to finish my Christmas cards - in my pj's.

King--I've always wondered also why Santa always rides on a firetruck. He should be riding in a sleigh, don't you think? (I guess it's so everyone can see him because he's way up high!)

Kingagain--LOL I'm glad I'm exciting you! :-)

Jeff--I would LOVE to see New York City at Christmas!

Pam--Hey! You jumped in while I was commenting back LOL I've got Season One of The Big Bang Theory on my "wish list" from Gary. I hope I get it!! (Was last night's episode not HILARIOUS!!!!! When Sheldon got the Leonard Nimoy napkin, I thought I would bust a gut!!!)

I don't know if santa needs a sleigh...my friends on Lummi Island watch him arrive on the ferry. :)

I anticipate many of the same things as on your list. Mostly, just relaxing and watching the kids. And going to our candlelit service on Christmas eve. Love singing "Silent Night" with the church all aglow.

I anticipate my family being together, and smiles on every face!

I also anticipate Christmas cards! I really enjoy seeing all of the different cards that everyone picks, and catching up with family and friends that are far away.

Love your new banner!
