A Couple of Scrapbook Pages
Yep, I actually found time to scrapbook this past weekend! I was hoping to scrap with some friends, but they ended up (a) getting sick, or (b) discovering they had other family stuff to do. So, I dug out my card table, sat in front of the fire, grabbed me some chocolate for snacking, and had fun most of Friday evening working on some pages. I thought I'd share a few of the ones I did with you.
This first one is probably my favorite, even though it's not as elaborate as the second one I'll show you. It's probably because I love the photos on it so much (you may remember them from a blog post I did that day...it was the day of the two-hat fashion statement and the cool, holey leaf), but also because the design is just pleasing to me...
I love this next page, especially for the really fun butterfly and all those pretty flowers. But mostly for the awesome picture! it's a really special picture that we took on Thanksgiving, of my Mom and Grandma and me and the girls. Moments like that are definitely meant to be preserved...
This page is very simple and linear, but it makes me happy because it has one of my happiest memories from the past couple of months. This was one of my many 40th birthday celebrations, and it combined my birthday with a big Bama football win against Clemson. On the page I say that there are 3 ways to have a great Bama birthday party. They match the photos on it and are, (1) have a tea party at halftime, (2) mock the team you just destroyed, by imagining how sad they are, and (3) do a happy victory dance (involving a crazy kicking of the feet in the air)...
This is a page with a picture I love of Sydney with her cousins, Matthew and Garrett. The color combo on this really makes me happy...
Thanks for letting me share those pages with you!
And, oh, because I felt like there was a need for a cupcake in this post...here's a picture of some chocolate cupcakes I made yesterday. It's the first time I made swirls on top of my cupcakes. I think that they turned out so pretty (and they tasted delicious!).
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. See you again soon!

Love the pages and the cupcakes. I remember when you posted those pics of Sydney, she is too stinking cute. I just read your last post. Hmmmmmm...dare I say, it gets better, the older you get, you find meaning and reminders, and "heaven sent" messages more and more. Love and hugs.
