I love...

...College Basketball
(March Madness is just around the corner and, in the meantime, it's Championship Week with all the conference tournaments going on. I was up until almost 1 a.m. last night watching the amazing SIX overtime Syracuse-UConn game--the second-longest game in NCAA history; and then I've been enjoying how my Crimson Tide is playing in the post-season. Their only chance of making the NCAA tourney is winning the SEC tournament, which I don't see happening...but they are actually playing better than they have all year. All of you who are even casual visitors to my blog know how crazy I am about sports and this is one of my favorite times of the year!)
* But I don't so much love...being up until almost 1 a.m. watching that game and then being sleepy all day.

... That Sydney is absolutely loving playing softball so far.
(We never, ever imagined that Sydney would be loving softball as much as she's loving it this Spring! When Gary had her play this past Fall, it was really more of a try-and-see-if-she likes-it sort of plan. At the time, we thought she liked it...but she wasn't crazy about it! This Spring? She can't wait to go to practice, she loves all of her teammates, she loves games. She even wants to "practice" catching pop flies in the den at night with Gary. And Gary, by the way, is just eating it up!)
* But I don't so much love...that Sydney's game was rained out tonight. Her team--the Mustangs--is 2-0 and are really playing well (Gary is such a good coach with the little girls) and we couldn't wait to get another in (hopefully!) under our belt.

...Spring Break!
(Thank goodness our break is here, because I can tell that the kids are so ready for it! Their schedules have been so full, and McKenna and Delaney have had a lot of schoolwork..so it came at the perfect time.)
* But I don't so much love... that I'm not sure what we're doing. I'm probably going to get together with some friends, and there is still a POSSIBILITY that the beach is on our horizon. Personally, I'm praying for pina coladas and gumbo. I'll let you know! :-)

...That I had a good article assignment come in yesterday.
(I always love it when a writing assignment comes in, especially in these harder economic times. This is on what should be a fun topic, for a national, glossy magazine. If we go to the beach this week, it will pay for our trip!)
* But I don't so much love...that I still have two chapters to write on my book deadline. D-day is next Friday. Cross your fingers for me to get it done.

A few other random things I've loved this past week:
...meeting up with lots of friends on Facebook
...hot/now Krispy Kreme donuts
...chicken cordon bleu (it was good!)
...a new printer that prints really fast
...dinner out with my Dad after my class at Bama
...good mother-daughter talks
...a good mystery novel
...the new Kelly Clarkson CD.

And because any new post deserves some cute pictures of Sydney...I'm also loving that Sydney will be playing the role of The Bride in a "Tom Thumb" wedding being held at our church this weekend. She has a wedding gown, a veil, and a sparkly, blingy ring, and she plays the part in full-out dramatic fashion.

The ceremony (where she and a little boy promise their "true friendship" with each other, and there are flower girls and a wailing "mother of the bride" and what Sydney likes to call the "ringmaster," and special "celebrity" guests) is followed by a reception. At the reception, the following, lovely "engagement" photos will be on display.

(How priceless is that first one? Complete with blingie ring AND bandaid on her leg!)

I hope that you had a wonderful week (what did you Love about the week past?) and that you have a fantastic weekend (what are you looking forward to?).

I'm outta here...
and off to watch more basketball!!

Hey, Cheryl!!!
I have not been by in a while ( Let's Go Mountaineers!) but I have been thinking of you and the (swallows deeply) Tide...

What a cutie you have there and are you scrapping? I need to steal, I mean be influenced by layouts, lol! Gina

Lynilu--Wow! 4 inches of snow. We dream about snow like that down here! :-)

Ed--Thanks! I was just so excited to get to do some scrapooking again. That always makes me happy.

Gina--Thanks for the sympathy for the Tide. We had a rough season, but looked so much better near the end. Now I will be finding some other teams to cheer for in the tourney. And, yes...steal my ideas all you want. LOL

Yvonne--Thanks!!

First off I just blogged about College Basketball too haha! YES I am exhausted after that 6OT game, and then Syracuse played another OT in their Semi win. CRAZY! I can't wait for the tournament we're starting to play good again! Less excitement with the SEC tournament this year, no tornadoes haha.

I have been converted to Dunkin Donuts especially munchkins
