I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating Independence Day tomorrow. I wish you lots of good food, time with family, and lots and lots of blessings.
We will be at the softball park for a lot of the day (with Delaney's travel ball team at the NSA state tournament), so we'll be celebrating with a lot of this sort of stuff...
I do hope, though, to spend some time with family tomorrow (and Monday as well). We will invariably enjoy a lot of laughter, and fireworks, and food (especially food). I anticipate getting to make some sort of yummy, patriotic-looking dessert...
Other things I love about the Fourth of July include:
watching all those cool President-themed shows on the History Channel, playing with sparklers with the girls (I still feel like a kid when I do it), eating barbecue and watermelon, getting some sun (and maybe getting wet in a pool or sprinkler), and getting a little teary-eyed whenver I hear the national anthem or any other patriotic tune.
What do you love about this holiday?
How will you be celebrating this year?
