10 Random "Bests" . . .
Let's see, what can I talk randomly about this Tuesday morning? After batting a few ideas back and forth in my head (I have a really good idea, but it will wait to a more appropriate next Tuesday . . . wink, wink, you'll just have to wait and see . . .), I've settled on sharing Ten Random "Bests" or "Favorites." Can't wait to read what yours are!
Best Soda: Diet Dr. Pepper
Best Candy Bar: the now-defunct Bar None (LOVED this candy bar--does anyone else remember it?--then it disappeared about six years ago from the market. If I could ever find a storehouse of them somewhere in New Jersey or Timbuktu, I'd buy a barrel of them a la "Seinfeld's" Elaine's buyout of sponges. Ha!) Without my beloved Bar None, I'd have to go with Hershey's Chocolate Bar with Almonds. But not really a huge candy bar person . . .
Best Movie Line: Okay, my first has got to be "I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen," from Say Anything, one of my top five movies of all time. That line just personifies the rest of the movie, although there are about 20 other great lines in that one. Runners-up would have to be: "Son, you got a panty on your head" (Raising Arizona), "Smile, it increases your face value" (Steel Magnolias--along with every other line in that one!), "Bring out your dead . . ." (Monty Python and the Holy Grail--again, ditto, along with every other line in that one!), and "I've got a bad feeling about this" (Star Wars, and every subsequent Star Wars movie. I'm a HUGE SW fan!)
Best Salty Snack: Movie Popcorn (with layered butter!! yum!!)
Best Outfit in My Closet: my beige capri pants and any "retro" colored shirt (lime green, hot pink, etc.)
Best Smell: Fresh rain in the early morning on freshly mowed-grass (followed closely by my freshly showered Gary, and fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies!)
Best City (you've been to): San Antonio, Texas (LOVE everything about it!!)
Best City (you've never been to): Really want to go to Florence, Italy for some reason (I think it's all the art!!)
Best Date Scenario: dinner at a good restaurant, dancing, drinking coffee in a good bookstore, an a few choice kisses
Best Month: Right now it's May--because that's what we're in!!
Okay, share them with me now. Your best:
Soda, Candy Bar, Movie Line, Salty Snack, Outfit, Smell, City, Date, and Month!!!

Well, I have to say the BEST soda out there is Classic COCA COLA. If just bewilders me, I have loved this drink; drink at least 5 a day, and my fav cuz works for them and I don't get a discount. Go figure.

Candy Bar: I have two, Sneakers, love the peanuts, but they don't love me and Clusters. Again, love the peanuts but they don't love me.

Movie Line: "Frankly Scarlett, I don't give a damn" Gone with the Wind, "I will just have to worry about it tomorrow, I have to do what needs to be done today", Gone With The Wind. "TAWANDA" Fried Green Tomatoes. "Don't turn your nose at something you condem then do it on your own." Practical Magic

Salty Snack: Cashews, ymmmm

Outfit: My worn out sweat pants, flips flops and ALABAMA T-shirt

Smell: A baby after their bath and lotion down, fresh laundry out of the dryer. And of course fresh cut grass

City: I miss home, so I will have to say Hueytown. I am so homesick.

Date: Candle light dinner, he gives me jewels, then a barefoot walk in the moon light on the beach. (Boy am I dreaming or what?)

Month: I love NOVEMBER, no gifts to buy, just visiting family, cool days and children all together of all ages.

am responding; mine will be so boring! I am Cheryl’s mom.
Best Soda: I don’t drink sodas and never want them, but I do like coke floats, but don’t drink them
unless I make them for the grandkids. One day I stole a sip. Yum!
Best Candy Bar: I don’t eat them. It’s a ‘I’m in my 50’s, and I have to watch my weight.” Looking at
candy bars puts weight on me. I will have to admit I like Payday.
Best Movie Line: Anything in “Babette’s Feast,” one of my favorite movies.
Best Salty Snack: Multigrain crackers Club crackers. I just discovered them. They are the best
crackers.
Best Outfit in My Closet: my Easter dresses the last two years. They are so comfortable.
Best City (you've been to): anywhere in western Montana: Bozeman and Livingston; Savannah and
Charleston
Best City (you've never been to): Really want to go to London, Edinburgh (am going this summer!!),
Venice, Florence, Paris, and San Francisco
Best Date Scenario: dinner at a good restaurant, a movie (haven’t been in years), and to Starbucks
afterwards
Best Month: Love them all, but I love January because of new beginnings and rest after the holidays. I
love to write in January.

Best soda: Well, first off, I never say soda, I say pop. :-D I am a diet Pepsi-holic.

Best Candy Bar: Gonna go with Snickers, though really as long as it's chocolate and doesn't contain coconut (bleccch), I'm not picky.

Best Movie Line: Where do I start?! I quote different ones all the time! "Cats and dogs, living together, mass hysteria!" from Ghostbusters. Almost anything from So I Married An Axe Murderer or from Princess Bride (specifically "my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.") From Better Off Dead "I want my two dollars!" From SW, "Laugh it up, Fuzzball."

Best salty snack: pretzels or peanuts

Best outfit in my closet: Summer or winter? Office or casual? Too...many...clothes...closet...exploding....

Best smell: Fresh baked bread; the air just before/after it rains; freshly showered fiance / kids (yeah, I stole your answers but mine are basically the same!)

Best city you've been to: New York. I loved it.

Best city you've never been to: I want to visit London...and it has absolutely nothing to do with wanting to see Platform 9 3/4.

Best date scenario: Candlelit dinner at a nice restaurant / long walk on beach (man, that's cliche)...I suppose just about anything as long as you're with the right person.

Best month: October...I love autumn (though it only lasts a couple weeks in Omaha, if we're lucky that year) and it's my birthday month. :-)

I'm loving all of your answers!! Delaney--you're priceless. And Marj--I think we were separated at birth. LOL I love hearing from everyone (for those of you who don't know where everyone is-- Cindy B is in Oklahoma, and Marj is in Nebraska!)

Best movie line: "listen do you smell something?" ghostbusters

Best salty snack: movie theater popcorn (chips and dip is the next fav)

Best smell: clean baby (little puppy is a close second)

Best city(i've been to): atlanta- we went ther on our honeymoon so it's special

Best city(i wantto go to) london - i am and always have been a huge anglophile.

Oddly enough, I could ditto Allison's so easily but I'll try to vary it some

Best Soda: Coke/Diet Coke
Best Candy Bar: Reese's Fast Break, anything by Lindt, especially Dark Chocolate
Best Movie Line: Again Al's Ghostbuster quote, "Listen! Do you smell something?" is first choice. Cheryl I give you another great Say Anything Quote:
"I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that." I also agree with "I've got a bad feeling about this!" from the numerous Star Wars movies and throw in the entire movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Best Salty Snack: Pringle's Salt and Vinegar; I'm also in agreement w/ the movie popcorn suggestions
Best Outfit in My Closet: Black Slacks w/black and tan button down the front shirt or black jeans and black shirt w/skull and crossbones on it
Best Smell: Barbq and apple pie
Best City Yes, I loved Atlanta for the same reasons Al does but I loved Amsterdam when I was there. I also love Chattanooga and Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, Alabama and new orleans in it's day
Best City (you've never been to): London, England; Sydney, Australia; Kailua Kona, Hawaii (see Chris this is how it's done);
Best Date Scenario: Doesn't matter as long as I don't hear "Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad!...
Best Month: October, the weather rules and of course HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!! (BOO!)

Best Soda: Well. Seeing as how I dont really like sodas all that much Im gonna put my favorite drink. I'd have to say I'm an apple juice addict and I also like water with Crystal Light lemondae(just discovered this one).

Best Candy Bar: Okay, Im not the biggest chocolate fan(People say I am definetly not my mothers daughter =]) but I'd have to go with Hershey's with Almonds, then Twix.

Best Movie Line: Okay, this is by far the hardest. I mean how do you choose? Between Say Anything (fave movie), Monty Python and Holy Grail, Star Wars, Serendipity, and RaisingArizona,Steel Magnolias its just to hard to choose. My favorites would have to be"I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen"---Basically, the best line from Say Anything, "Son you gotta panty on your head"--From Raising Arizona, "Im being oppressed"-from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Best Salty Snack: Def.Movie Popcorn with extra, extra butter!

Best Outfit in my closet: My jeans, green lace easter shirt with silver flip flops.

Best Smell: The grass in the morning when its covered by dew, and fresh rain, followed by a nive sanitization =]

Best City (you've been to):I;d have to say Tybee Island,GA. I love the beaches there. Followed by Gatlinberg, TN. Also, CHicago!

Best City (you've never been to):
I really wanna visit anywhere in Montana or around there. Basically where it always snows. I love Italy too, so Rome.

Best Date Scenario: nice dinner, movie, romantic walk on the beach, ending up the night at little coffe shop where we will discuss books and art and politics. ( hey, I can dream right?)

Best Month: i love all months but I would have to say my favorite is January because I love New Years!
