Tuesday Summer Randomness Since we are in the midst of Summertime and all the assorted good stuff that comes with it, thought I’d share some Summertime Randomness. Did you know . . .
* The Romans made the first popsicle. They took some ice, added flavor to it, then licked it. Voila! There it was! (Yum!!)
* The fastest roller coaster in the world is the Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. It has a top speed of 128 mph. Yikes!!! (You wouldn’t catch me on a roller coaster if it went 20 miles per hour!!)
* Vanilla is the top selling ice cream flavor. (What does that say about all of us? Pretty boring, I think!)
* The hottest place in the United States is Death Valley, Arizona. Its highest recorded temp was 134 degrees (in 1913). And I thought Alabama was hot!
* Florida is the most popular state for family vacations (the beach, Disney World, all that good stuff).
* If you have ostraconophobia, you are afraid of shellfish. (Who’s crazy enough to be afraid of that? There’s nothing better at the beach than shellfish—unless it’s a good daiquiri!)
Now to get to know each other a little better, why don’t we share our summertime faves that relate to these important, random facts!!
Your favorite frozen concoction (popsicle or otherwise)—I love dreamsicles and also Mississippi mud ice cream sandwiches.
Roller coaster or ferris wheel?—Neither! I’m scared to death of heights!
Your favorite ice cream flavor—That’s a tough call! Some of my faves include pralines and cream, Blue Bell’s birthday cake, and white chocolate mousse frozen yogurt from TCBY.
Favorite summer vacation destination—That I’ve been to would be San Antonio, Texas (LOVED that trip—so much fun!!) and also Aruba (actually went there in late May for our anniversary, but I think that can count)! That I haven’t been to would probably be Hawaii or some other tropical island!
What are you afraid of? (even though it really doesn’t have anything to do with summer)— The aforementioned heights!

Italy (Europe) in the spring and a tropical island in when its winter here. Have been all over the states. You can keep Texas Cheryl, just didn't do it for me. Too HOT!!! But loved Maine.
Worst Fear:
Fire and drowning, beleive me when I say, this keeps me up at night thinking about it sometimes.

Favorite frozen - Lemon Berry Slush from Sonic with lots of Strawberries; It is more frozen that slushy
Roller Coaster or Ferris Wheel - Due to the bloodline uncontrollable fear of heights, there is no way I would get on a roller coaster; however, I can be strapped and barred in a roller coaster if my eyes are closed and I enjoy the sick feeling in the pit of my stomach and screaming when it is ok!
Favorite Ice Cream - Boring Vanilla!
Favorite Summer Destination - anywhere that is not where I always am; but the best places are the mountains and the ocean.
Greatest Fears - Bridges, Heights and Deep Water; with a super-phobia of the three. I will go miles out of the way before I attempt crossing one because about 15 years ago I got stuck on the middle of one and couldn't go any farther. True story. But not one to be told to anyone other than the entire www! Ha. Now I have a driving daughter and none of the three bother her.

went to the death predictor site. The first thing it said that I would die on a moon at 54!! Then I went back and made sure I had put in my correct age of 58 and I had. Then I got this other message:

roller coaster of ferris wheel?:deffinetly roller coaster, i figuired out while at Visionland that I am scared of heights when youre up in the air for a while! I was on the Ferris Wheel and I got so scared cause we stopped at the top and was there for about 2 minutes(but it felt like forever!)
Even though roller coasters are in the air they go fast so I dont really notice the height!

favorite summer vacation destination: i loved when we went to Tybee Island and I always love going to Texas to see the family down there! I can't wait to go back to Tybee Island this summer!
worst fear: okay, dark and this is kinda crazy but I have this irrational fear of being trampled by a herd of raging rhinos and elephants. yeah, youre probably laughing at this very moment- but I just have this fear for some reason and of course, feet! eeww!
