Yay!!! An Awesome Praise This Morning!
A lot of you know about my friend Debby, a friend from WAY back in junior high in Fayetteville, Arkansas, who is going through radiation treatment for advanced cancer (she went through chemo and radiation and thought she was all clear, but now it's shown up in her lymph nodes and we are all VERY worried about it!). She is having to spend six weeks in Houston (she lives/works outside Austin) for this advanced treatment. But I got this email from her yesterday and it sounds like great news. She gave me permission to post it here--
"Hello everyone! I'm in Houston and have just finished my halfway point for radiation treatment. Whew! I'm looking forward to June 28 - the last day of this mess. Anyway, I had a CT scan on Monday and GOOD NEWS! My doctor told me not to expect much but everything has shrunk so much that they are spending the rest of the week creating a new plan! I still have treatment while they do that - the same that I've been going through, but they'll revise everything - where they "shoot" me with radiation, how much they "shoot" me with, and how long they "shoot" me for. Yippee! It's really cool because they have chemists and physicists working on the plan and they determine all the specifics of the actual radiation depth, dosages, etc. What a cool technology - wish it was on someone else, but it's cool all the same! So... that's the update with me. No real side effects - a couple of "spells" but nothing lasting and I'm feeling great. Praise the Lord and hallelujah! "
Deb :)
I will echo her Praise the Lord and Hallelujah!! SO many voices have been lifted up in prayers for her. We all know THAT is what has done this!!
Just had to share . . .
