Things That Make You Go . . .

"Eww!!"

Okay, I really like the leggings look this season (especially on young girls; Delaney has several pairs and they are so cute; and I would definitely wear some if I had some long enough shirts to cover up by butt in them). Think they are really cute and trendy and cool. But . . .

Men should NOT wear them!

Yes, I kid you not--I saw this on a story about some Spring fashion shows in Europe. If I see a guy walking around town with these on, I might have to laugh at him for a long time (and go grab something for him to cover up with real quick!)

Things that Make You Go . . .

"Man, am I OLD!"

Being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this next month? REM!! Yes, that wonderful band that was at their zenith in the late 80s and early 90s are being inducted. They were popular when I was in college and that seems like just YESTERDAY!! Not helping that also being inducted is Van Halen--one of my favorite bands from my high school days. Someone tell time to slow itself on down! (I sure wish I could get my Video box up and going on my new blog here, so I could play some REM for all of us!)

And Things that Make You Go . . .

"Mmm, mmmm, mmmmm, good!"

Homemade Rice Krispie treats!

I did great yesterday finishing three articles that had to be turned in, so I rewarded myself with some homemade treats. I LOVE these things more than almost anything, but forget to make them very often. But I got a craving for them last night and an hour or so later (after running to the store to get the ingredients), I had some in my hot little hand. Had them for breakfast and now I'm wondering how many of them will be left when the girls get home today. Yum-o! (btw, it's hard to type with sticky fingers!)

-----------------------

I loved all of the answers you guys and gals posted to my Random Tuesday meme yesterday. It was SO fun to read all of the answers, but my favorite part had to be the answers to "Something You Shout" (If you remember, you had to come up with an answer with the first letter from your name.) Some of the ones that just made me laugh out loud . . .

"Atta-boy!"

"Geronimo!"

"Abracadabra!"

"Safe!"

"De-Fense!"

"Remember the Alamo!" (As a native Texan, that's gotta be my favorite; thanks Ryan!)

You guys are awesome--I love it!

Off now to go see what sort of damage I can do to that pan of Rice Krispy treats, then hoping to create a few things today (thanks to some awesome ideas from Telah) and wash a ton of clothes!

No man should be allowed to walk around in those things! I love RKT's and am SO craving them now. I meant to tell you that I like your new blog look. It made me want to change mine up a bit but so far all I have done was tinker with my sidebar. I can't wait to see your take of Ali and Elsie's work! Have fun!

That's crazy about REM. My hubby just bought a "collectors" edition 2 CD set of theirs. It doesn't seem like it's been that long ago that they were on the top 40 charts.

Now I need me some rice krispy treats..

Leggings on men... ewww indeed! I hope that trend doesn't hit New York. Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!
Here's what I read yesterday that made me feel old: The Police are reuniting and playing the opening number on next week's Grammy Awards. It's all part of the (take a pause before you read this part) group's 30th Anniversary! Yes folks, that's 30 years since we all first heard "Roxanne." They may also tour as a part of the celebration... and it's been 23 years since the toured last with the Synchronicity album.

If I try to picture my husband or either of my sons-in-law in leggings, I can't breathe - I'm laughing too hard.

I haven't made rice crispy treats is ages. Thanks for the reminder. I have a little grandson who's going to be tickled to death.
