Seeking...
I'm sitting on Adrienne's computer so I can upload this layout for the One Little Word scrapbook challenge. It had to be done my midnight, so I'm taking a break from scrapping (I've actually done three pages! yay!) and eating (i've eaten a chocolate cupcake, a key lime bar, some pizza, and way too much sweet tea. I think I'm on a sugar high!) to post it.
I love the OLW challenges, because they make you think about a certain word and what it means to you. When I heard the word "seek" I immediately thought of some Bible verses that really mean something to me. And I came up with this...
(First off, I borrowed the fun technique they had on OLW this week and made these cool flowers and hearts--by crumpling up shapes, inking them, uncrumpling them, then layering them).
The journaling (which is alongside the photo) says: "with my busy life, i have to make a choice, set my priorities...to seek Christ sincerely...in prayer...in kind acts...in worship...in communion...in escape with Him...in service...in study...in church...in CHOOSING to seek Him." The verse I've used as the title is Jeremiah 29:13.
Also--the picture is a scene from Camp Sumatanga, a beautiful retreat about an hour from home. It's where I have been on some very meaningful spiritual get-aways, and where we spend our Family Life Retreat every March together. Just a special place to me; a place where I feel spiritually connected. So I thought it was perfect for this page.
Thanks for letting me share with all of you!!
And now...I'm heading back to some more scrapbooking. Trying to stay awake, but I'm gradually starting to lose it!! LOL
See ya on Monday, when I should have pictures of...
High School Musical cupcakes...
more pages I completed...
the girls acting crazy...
me displaying sleep-deprived and chocolate-induced-behavior! (well, just kidding--I sure hope there will be no photos of it!!)
and whatever else we can concoct!!

It is pretty impressive how you guys are able to come up with LO's and only have a single word with which to begin. Not sure I could pull that off :-).
