HOMECOMING!! And weekend plans!!!

I'm sitting here getting ready for a very busy weekend...but one filled with all sorts of fun stuff nonetheless!! I'm about to head out to watch Delaney play in her travel softball team's first real tournament of the season. Her team, The Birmingham Mustangs, just moved up to 12-and-under, so it's gonna be different for all of them. We're young, but have some great players! I'll give you updates on Monday, of course!

Then McKenna's band has a competition all day today.I will be going to watch them perform later today! McKenna's Color Guard is really doing well and I'm anxious to see how they do! Updates Monday, of course! LOL

Then, at 4:00, my Crimson Tide plays Florida State in what should be a pretty interesting game. We are pretty evenly matched, and there are all sorts of interesting coaching and playing connections between us. Everyone say a loud ROLL TIDE together now and later today when they're on tv (CBS, for all of those who want to join in!). Updates Monday, of course!! LOL

Now...how about some Homecoming pictures from this past week?

We won our game 70-0 last night (wow!!! And that was with2nd and 3rd stringers in!) and I enjoyed the night by working in the concession stand for the Band (I'm fine if I never hear the words, "Cheese Fries!" ever again!! It was actually pretty fun in a twisted and greasy sort of way, but it really exhuasted me.Hard work feeding thousands of starving football fans!)

Our town was painted Purple and Gold all week...

Spirit Week at the high school had them dressing up for different "themes." Of course, School Spirit McKenna got into ALL of it!! Here she is for Alabama/Auburn today (choosing the correct school, of course!)...

For Tacky Day, by herself...

and with her friend Kortni (aren't they just beautiful)...

For Spirit Day...

The effects of Junior-Senior Wars!!! A senior lives a few houses down from us and got rolled really well...

McKenna doing her part!! We wouldn't let her roll houses (Mean Parents, I know!!), but we did let her go out and put up signs and do some shaving-creaming...

Of course, she and her cousin Lori came home with more on them than anything else...

Until next time...have a super weekend!

Love ya!!

Congrats on the homecoming game. I love all the pics. Ahh- the old toilet papering, the shaving cream, and ahh yes the old working in the concession stand fun. We didn't have cheese fies-although at an event for the band-I fried onion rings and corn dogs-yeck.

Please e-mail me your e-mail. I have now had to go to private. ricterri@ameritech.net

Cheese on fries??? YUCK!!! Sorry, there are just a few things that don't go together. And in my book, these 2 would have to be it. :-)

Oh how I remember SPIRIT WEEK!!! McKenna is quite a trooper. She's just love looking back on these days. Do they still have pep rally's in high school? That was the highlight of my week :-).

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
