Breakfast of Champions

I am sitting here right now enjoying a true "breakfast of champions." Sure, I'd really love to have a hearty western omelet (but, alas, my wonderful omelet-making husband chose to go to work instead of slave over the stove for me this morning!), but in a pinch this will do.

I actually really like these new iced coffees from McDonald's. I decided to try the Hazelnut this morning. Pretty good...

And paired with some powdered white donuts...

Let's just say that I may be jumping off the walls for the next six hours!

I actually read something yesterday about coffee and McDonald's that was really interesting. Apparently, McDonald's will start selling an entire line of lattes, frappacinnos, and other "Starbucks-like" coffee drinks this next year. Since the closest Starbucks to me is 30 minutes away, that actually sounds like it will do for me when I'm needing something yummy like that FAST. What do you guys think about that?

And now...

I'm off to scan a few scrapbook pages. I'm teaching a class this Saturday at Scrapbook Mania and will share some of the pages I'm doing; I also finished a few challenge layouts too that I will share. (Pop on later today if you want to see them.)

I'm also trying to drum up some writing assignments and have a few editors to email. Hoping I can get through to some of them.

Then, off to spend some quality time with my washing machine. (How come I can go one weekend without washing clothes and then I'm fighting piles of dirty towels and underwear for a week? Is that even mathematically possible?)

Hope you all have a great Wednesday!!

I LOVE THIS!!! It's my new technique...guilt Gary into doing sweet things for me by calling him out on my blog!!! LOL

(and since you don't have your phone with you today, I guess we could just communicate via this comments section. Ha!!)

And, actually, omelets and wine might work...

Man, that donut looks delicious! We don't have powdered donuts - only chocolate or some pink icing...
I think the McDonalds idea is good, that would make my "Starbuck-like" coffee affordable. On the other hand I only go to s'bucks for the comfortable chairs and the music. :)

That breakfast looks delicious... sometimes I treat myself to a latte from Starbucks, but I've never tried the McD's version. And don't even get me started on donuts. I love them (chocolate with coconut is my favorite).

Katrin--I'm with you.I love the whole sitting-at-a-bookstore-drinking-Starbucks thing. It's the atmosphere almost more than anything!

Patti--Go get you some doughnuts! :-)

Omelettes & wine...interesting...very cute.

I need to get my DH to read my blog this seems like an effective technique!

Hmmm, I just can't seem to get on board with the whole iced coffee thing. I only drink "normal" coffee when it's cold outside. I wince when I sip my "normal" coffee and it's gotten a little bit of a chill...YUCK!

But POWDERED DONUTS....NOW you're talkin!!! I absolutely LOVE powdered donuts. My great-grandmother, who turned 103 this past July, STILL remembers me eating powdered donuts. She doesn't remember much else, but she hasn't let THAT memory of our times together, get away.

Omelets...what time should I stop by? LOL
