How about THIS for some pre-Christmas festivities? Homemade chocolate cake and margaritas...mmm! Now that's a combination that I can appreciate! lol

(not the best picture, but believe me...they were both very good!)

We celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday tonight at our house and I made some yummies for us to enjoy (she requested both the cake--a chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting--and the margaritas, which are her favorite drinks!). I was also glad to be able to share my decorations with some friends and family (since I don't usually host any of the Christmas gatherings here!).

Cmon on back tomorrow, when I will talk more about FOOD (one of my favorite topics) and have a challenge for all of you!

(And, here is something totally un-related but it's something that made me SO happy! I talked to my best friend today, who told me that her sister had twin little girls this past week. Her sister and her husband live out in Colorado and it's been years since I've seen them. But, I have fond memories of high school craziness, college parties, trips to the beach, and just other good times with them. They are both around 37 now and these are their first children after years of trying to get pregnant, and I'm just so happy about it. And just listen to these names!!! Gabrielle Rose and Violet Skye. Those names just make me smile. I love them!)

Okay...see ya tomorrow!!!

Congratulations to your friend on her happy additions! I love the names too. I was 38 when I had Maddie after 10 years of trying. They will be extra-super-duper parents because they will appreciate those little ones just a wee tad more!
