Woo Hoo...It's Friday!!!
(and a few photos further on down below)

Hmmmm. What to write about on this Friday morning?

I had thought about writing about our Ash Wednesday service and the beginning of Lent (the meaning behind it, why it's special to me, my plans for the next 40 days), but I want to do it justice so I will probably wait until Sunday to do that. (I'm really kinda lazy this morning and want an easy post!).

I could write about the awesome episode of "Lost" last night. I am SO addicted and am really kinda teed-off that I can't travel through time until next Thursday and watch the next episode (speaking of time travel...any of the rest of you thinking that some sort of time travel, alternate dimensions, and other wacky stuff could be a part of it all? I'm starting to.).

I could tell you all about my weekend plans. I'm scrapping and drinking and eating with Adrienne tonight (yay for patterned paper! yay for martinis! yay for chocolate!), and then tomorrow night my Sunday School class is having an early Valentine's Day party complete with Italian food and dancing (one of our class members is a former DJ and is mixing it up for us. lol).

I thought about completing the tag I got from Heather where you have to come up with a descriptive word about yourself for each letter in your middle name (if I were to do it, I think mine would be A for aspiring artist, N for nice, N for nuts-for sports, E for excellent family, T for thankful, T for totally-glad-it's-the-weekend, and E for excitable!). Wait, I DID just do that tag!

I could tell you about how I need to get off my blog and finish some writing work that needs to get done today.

I could tell you how good this iced vanilla coffee is that I'm drinking.

But...I think I'll just share a few pictures of Sydney instead.

You all know that I've told you how much Sydney loves to wear dresses. In fact, I can't get her to NOT wear dresses (the only times in the last two months that I've gotten her to wear pants have been to go out in the snow and to go to the park with Gary!). I have to wash dresses all the time and I've started looking out for cheap dresses everywhere I go (when you wear them everyday, you need a lot of them! lol) And she's gotten used to having me take a picture of her in her different outfits (because I'm SO going to do a scrapbook page on "Sydney and Her Dress Addiction").

So, here is proof that she definitely has a dress addiction, with just a few of the pics I've taken (and something to take note of: I pretty much let her dress herself, so you never know what sort of color combination, shoes choice, and accessories you're gonna get!)

(even when going to dance class, she HAS to wear a tutu or dance skirt. No leotard-only outfits. And, believe me, you have to give her an hour warning for class because she will change her outfit SIX times before she settles on something. God help her future husband!)

And my favorite Sydney-Line of the past week? (Imagine her doing this in any of these dresses) "Wanna see my America's Top Model walk?" she asks, then proceeds to put her hands on her hips and do the craziest model walk you've about ever seen. I LOVE living with a three-year-old! (well, except for when she comes and stands beside the bathtub while I try and convince her that Mom needs some quiet time; and when she crosses her arms and pouts, "I don't like this game!" when you beat her at Candyland!)

So now...I'm heading into the weekend! I hope you all have a wonderful one. Be safe and have fun!

Oh goodie...chocolate, drinks & scrapbooking...what time should I be there? Dr. Pepper for me please!:-)

Ok, Cheryl, you are REALLY starting to scare me with this stories about Sydnie. I almost have to sedate Jayla to get her to wear pants/jeans to school. If that girl could wear a dress or skirt EVERYDAY, she would! Lucky for her she's got GORGEOUS legs :-).

Have a great weekend, my friend. Oh and ya'll have fun tonight!!!

She is adorable. My little niece would only wear dresses until she was 6 or 7 and the teachers sent a note home to please have her wear short under her dresses. LOL

I had all these comments and then I saw the pictures and I lost them all. She's precious!

Oh! I agree about Lost. I think it's my duty as a Christian to watch the show. I'm not sure why, but I know it's there.

A good place to get cute dresses cheap -- Riverchase United Methodist church has a big consignment sale each spring and fall; the next one's March 7-8. That's where I get Capra's dresses. She's not as bad as Scout on insisting on dresses every day, but she does want to wear them quite frequently. When I can get a cute dress for $4-$8 that looks like it's hardly been worn, I don't mind if she wears it to school and gets paint or mud stains on it!
