Cheryl Personality Quirk #14

Actually, I just randomly picked the number 14 since I figure you guys know a lot of my personality quirks already, simply from popping onto my blog pretty regularly. But, this "quirk" definitely reared its head this morning.

Simply stated... I am CLUMSY!!

I can walk down a hall and just run into the wall.

I can fall over my own feet.

But, worse than anything, I spill stuff all the time!! A meal is not complete without me spilling my drink--either all over the table, or on myself (and usually, both!). (On my first date with Gary, I spilled spaghetti sauce all over my shirt and tea on the table.)

Well, I just got back from taking the girls to school and I decided to treat myself to an iced vanilla coffee from McDonald's on the way home (yummy!). I was extra excited because I ordered a small, and they apparently gave me the Extra Ginormous sized drink. I sipped a few drinks on the way home, and couldn't wait to come home and have the rest of it for breakfast with a piece of Sydney's birthday cake (from Publix, with buttercream frosting. What a breakfast!).

Of course, before I left the den to even head upstairs the drink was ALL over the room! I somehow spilled it (not sure how... I do this all the time... just spill things without anything else even getting in my way!) everywhere! Most of it headed straight to one of my bookshelves, where it covered the shelves, the "doo dads" on the shelves, books, and at least four scrapbooks! I uttered a few unmentionables, then proceeded to clean up... all while uttering a few more unmentionables and lamenting my lack of iced coffee. (Don't you hate it when you're looking forward to something...even small like that...then it's gone?)

So, there you go... your latest tidbit of random information about me.

I know you were probably expecting Easter pics from me this morning instead, and I was sorta planning on posting them. We took a ton of cute pictures from our Easter celebrations, and our birthday celebrations (Sydney had her party at Chuck E. Cheese on Saturday and everyone had a great time; and then we celebrated Syd and McKenna both yesterday at my parents' house). But ... I absolutely CRASHED last night after all of our weekend activities and I didn't download the pics, and now Gary has them with him at work. But I promise that I will have some of them up here tomorrow!

For now, I am going to go and try and recover from the weekend and the Spring Break before it! That means that I primarily will be washing and folding clothes (the pile of ready-to-be- folded clothes on my living room couch looks like it's about to come alive!), eating leftover birthday cake, and watching highlights from basketball (my brackets are officially screwed up; there have been some very exciting games and finishes, but I didn't predict hardly any of them!).

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend, and that your Monday will be outstanding!

(I'm gonna go try not to spill anything else... or run into any walls)

LOL! I have phases when I am extremely clumsy!! I also have a bad habit of dragging my feet when I'm tired which causes me to trip!

I'm such a klutz that I truly sympathize with you. One of my favorite sayings is that I can trip over flat ground LOL.

Happy Birthday to your girls! Sounds like you had an exciting week. We went camping last week for a few days and came back in Saturday. It has been a busy time of the year. Can't wait to see the pics of your Easter holiday. Hope you and your family had a great Easter!!!!!

Adrienne--Sure, sure... LOL I saw that you had a crew full over there (I heard them giggling in the yard on Friday, I think it was!), so I figured that's why you guys couldn't make it!

Patti--The girls actually don't have their REAL birthdays until the 30th and the 31st, but we got the partying started early. :-)

Gin--It was a good one!

Kat--Yep, I'm pretty bad clumsy!

Heather--I can totally sympathize with that. Sounds like me! lol

Cheryl--Camping sounds so nice; the weather was perfect around here last week for that!

I can totally sympathize with the spilling thing. Mine is that I NEVER eat a meal without having food on my clothing. I can't explain it, but it is really upsetting. I always carry a "Tide Stain Remover" with me. My friend, Claudia, has offered to make me bibs to match my outfits. It's sooo sad.

Hope you have a good day and get a little rest too.

SO glad I`m not the only one!
Sometimes I go out of this house, wearing half of whatever I
last ate or drank. I need a bib!

So excited about your MIRL adventure with Dawn. :) Yay!

Also, I'm clumsy, too, and no meal is complete in our home w/o a spill from someone and it's usually me! I call it "feeding the girls" when I spill down my shirt. Spills always land in the most unflattering of places, so that's where I get the label.

Blessings.

Hey Clumsy, I mean Cheryl. I thought Sydney did a great job singing (and dancing) at church on Sunday! I only saw you for a split second and it was the back of you. I did get to say hello to Gary and McKenna though. It was a great service and I was so happy to be there. I am glad Sydney had a great birthday. Harper's is coming up on the 13th and he wants to go to Chuck E Cheese too. Maybe Sydney can come along too. I will let you know when it is!

Ditto on the clumsiness. I am a klutz and I totally get the being mad over spilling something you were looking forward to. When I was preggo with Simon I spilled a plate of chicken bog in the car{under the seats and everything, yuck}and cried over it for at least an hour. It was pretty pathetic, but I was pregnant and the chicked bog had really big pieces of sausage in it. lol
