Photo-Heavy Valentine Weekend Recap
The goodies...
(Gary loves Whoppers and jelly beans. And I threw in the latest Sookie Stackhouse vampire novel since we actually celebrated Valentine's Day together on Friday the 13th.)
(McKenna's flowers from Brett. Pink roses and purple tulips. I told him he earned extra points for finding her two favorite flowers.)
(Sydney immediately named her poodle Pinky. I named her Pinky Tuscadero, and then had to explain the "Happy Days" reference to everyone.)
The food...
(both above from mine and Gary's Friday night dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. We ate so much and had a great time!)
(easiest Valentine's Day treat ever...cut hearts out of Oreo Cakesters with a cookie cutter. I also did the red velvet cake "sandwiches" I told you about the other day. Mmmm mmm good.)
(Is there anything better than a chocolate fountain?)
The good times...
(We had a party with a few friends at church, and ended up doing the best we could to dance off the chocolate from the chocolate fountain. I really can't quite believe that I just posted that picture of me, Allison, and Chris doing our rendition of "Saturday Night Fever." But I figure you guys could handle it!)
The weekend was fabulous and reminded me, yet again, how very grateful I am to have Gary, McKenna, Delaney, and Sydney in my life. (Sydney kept saying, "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy" over and over again in her sweet, sweet voice. A four-year-old's love is unconditional and something special, I can tell you that!). And I am also so grateful for sweet friends--just like you!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend too!

Looks like you and your family had a fab Valentine's Day! I'm going to have to do a little more than a Saturday Night Fever rendition to loose my "chocolate fluff"!! Alise kept telling me "Happy Valentine's Day" all day and I have to admit - other than having a 4 year old sing Happy Birthday to you - it's the sweetest sound in the world!
My teeth hurt just looking at those pics.
Laura-- Ha! Yeah, I actually need to get into a regular dance routine every night to get rid of some of this extra baggage. Dancing is great exercise, though; my body was HURTING after it! LOL And, yes, hearing Sydney tell me that all day was the SWEETEST thing!!! I know that you can totally relate!
Travis--LOL It was all pretty good...and sweet!
Looks like a great time was had by all! Thanks for sharing the pictures, even if they do make me crave sugar!
Looks like total fun!! I love your picture..you look wonderful!!
Have a great week.
I love that you celebrated with your hubby on the 13th,that's awesome! Your love is stronger
than bad luck:)
Oh My! Do I love the chocolate pics. I am truly a chocoholic and never want to go into treatment.
My cold is finally a little better We had a quiet Valentine's celebration.
I love that you named the poodle Pinky Tuscadero. Isn't it fun whenb our kids have no idea what we're talking about? It really brings us up short, doesn't it?
I love this post about how much fun you have with your family on holidays.
~hippo hugs~
Looks like you guys had a blast!! I'm just wondering if your looking for an older child, I'm up for adoption. Just something to think about....(puh-leez!!!)
LOL...I love that pic of you dancing. Why did I know a visit to your blog today would not only be photo heavy, but food heavy too... and chocolate no less. LOL...love the pics, glad you had a great time.
Sounds like you had a wonderful VDAY! =)
You just made me want some chocolate!!! Glad you guys had a good weekend.
