Accomplishments! Some Scrappiness! And Anticipation!
I've gotten a lot accomplished in the last couple of days...
~ Finished grading my last big round of papers
~ Helped line up (hopefully!) the last speaker needed for our writing conference this Summer
~ Booked a beach house!!!!! (yep, that one deserves numerous exclamation marks)
~ Queried several story ideas
So, while I sit here and wait for Sydney's uniform to dry for tonight's big game, I thought I'd take a quick break from all the work accomplished and post a few scrapbook pages I did earlier today.
These are just two really simple pages...but I really like how they turned out (because simple--like they took me 30 minutes tops to create!--is absolutely better.)
Both pages are dedicated to birthdays...Sydney's 5th and McKenna's 17.
(These pictures don't really do justice to the vividness of the pages.I have yet to figure out how to take really good pictures of my layouts.)
And now, as the weekend gets going, I've got so much to look forward to...
~ Delaney's first travel ball practice of the season (now that school ball is over)
~ Delaney attending a state-wide student government conference (she's doing a speech)
~ Sydney's game tonight
~ McKenna's drama performance tonight too (I'll try and be Super Mom and make it to both!)
~ Girls Night Out with friends tomorrow
~ Sydney's first-ever sleepover (She has been SO excited all week about it, and has demanded that I make "perfect pancakes" in the morning. I guess I actually have to make real batter for it, and not use the microwaved ones, huh?)
~ Just basically enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend. It's 88 right now and is supposed to be gorgeous for the next several days!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend as well!
