Oohhh . . . Some Favorite Things I Got To Do Today!

After letting Sydney sleep in a little bit later than usual and then getting some errands done around the house, I let loose and went out for the afternoon. I ended up doing some of my FAVORITE things this afternoon and then also this evening.

I . . .

* Had one of my favorite foods in the whole wide world--Greek salad from Zoe's in Hoover. I had a grilled chicken plate with the restaurant's totally yummy Greek salad underneath it. (There's just something about feta cheese that makes me so very, very happy!) They also have the most amazing freshly squeezed limeade there!

* Got some really cool goodies at my favorite scrapbook store, Scrap Etc., which just happens to be right next door to Zoe's (an awesome combination). I bought a really cool 3-ring scrapbook that you embellish and decorate yourself (now, stupid me thought it was just a really neat-looking hot pink album, but then realized when I got home that only half of the cover is hot pink and I have to decorate the rest. Will be cool, though!). Also got some cool chipboard letters and some awesome patterned paper.

* Did some home decorating--or at least some planning for home decorating. McKenna is getting her brand-new bedroom set on Thursday (this was her birthday present) and she is getting her room all cleared out and ready. She has come up with the most awesome color combination for her "new" room--chocolate brown and teal blue. We bought her a comforter set, pillows, and throw for her new bed in those colors. Delaney is also getting a "new" room--after we're done with McKenna's. It will be hot pink and lime green (with purple accents!) and will feature a new futon bed. Tonight I worked on refurbishing an old dresser for her room--I'm painting it hot pink! I love making something new out of some worn-out, and I love coming up with cool decorating ideas. So I'm having fun with this!

*Finished an article UNDER deadline. I turned in an article tonight for The Alabama Baptist on The Da Vinci Code. It was due today, and I got it done (even though it was close to midnight when I pushed "Send" on my email.

Hope you all had a day with a couple of "Favorites" mixed in there. Talk to ya soon!
