Some Pics from McKenna's Washington D.C. Trip

Well, I know that McKenna is DEFINITELY my daughter. She took her digital camera with her to Washington D.C. and came back with more than 100 pictures!! I would do exactly the same thing!! And this time she came back with some photos of actual workshop events, historical monuments, and sightseeing opportunities. (When she came back from her mission trip the week before last, all she had was pictures of she and her friends making goofy faces into the camera. LOL) So I told her this time to please bring back "real" photos--and she didn't disappoint!

So for today's post, I just wanted to share some of her pictures. She had an amazing time in D.C., by the way! She came back so fired up about everything--her faith, her church, her feelings about different issues, and her own ability to be a leader. Very cool!!

Here, then, is a little glimpse into her Student Leadership University experience . . .

How great for your daughter to have a trip like that. I love the photos, we were in DC in April and were in all those places!!! Plus we did the exact same thing for a pic at the FDR monument. I love the one of her "holding" the Washington Monument - tell her "great photography" from me!!

I just went to your blog and read everything back a week. Loved the pictures of McKenna and everything else. Loved your insights about parents and grandparents when they were young. You are right on target.
They had loves and loves lost and passion and heartache and everything that people have today. I guess each new generation believes it is the first to love, etc. Boy, are they wrong. Maybe they will get insightful
one day like you.
