"I love goin to da hotel!"

Yes, I think that Sydney thinks we LIVE in a hotel these days!! For the third time in six weekends, we will be in a hotel (we were in one for our family reunion, one for our little Memphis trip, and this weekend for a softball tournament!), and Sydney apparently thinks this is a-okay! She has been telling everyone today, "I love goin to da hotel!" (Along with telling everyone that she and the rest of her family have super powers, which is really a whole other story!)

We are heading to Georgia for a big softball tournament with 21 other teams. Who knows how we will do? It looks like there will be a lot of competition for Delaney's team!! Come back Monday, of course, and I will give you the update!

McKenna, Sydney, and I are heading out separately because we have to wait until McKenna gets out of her Color Guard tryouts. In fact, she's on her way to going to them right now!!! Please send your good wishes, vibes, and mojo to her! She was nervous about tryouts, but I know she'll do a great job. We just hope she makes the cut!! (I will also give all of you an update on that, of course!!)

Gotta get a few things done before heading out on the trip--got an article due by this afternoon that's almost done, need to go buy some cat food, plus I gotta get the car all packed up!

Before I leave, though, I thought I'd share a couple of layouts I did yesterday. This first one was so fun because it was for a challenge that Theresa is having over at her blog! She sent cool little kits of paper and embellishments to anyone interested, with the instructions to create a layout and a greeting card. (I'm not a card gal, but I gave it my best! lol)

Then, totally separate from that project, I did this layout of the clan celebrating McKenna's birthday with our traditional birthday lunch. I kinda piled the chipboard and stuff on to this!! lol



I almost finished another three layouts (they are laying on my table in different states of creativity! lol), but I just ran out of time in between getting ready for our little get-away. So, I will have to share them later!
