a weekend of food, wine, kisses & fun

a few favorite photos...

a few favorite moments...

* the best bread, olive oil, and parmesan cheese at a gem of a restaurant (we will go there again!)
* an entire bottle of Chianti with dinner
* creme brulee! (YUM!)
* not one, not two, but (count em!) three baths in the jacuzzi
* being able to take a bath without a three-year-old saying, "but I wanna come watch!"
* staying in bed a lot!
* sleeping late
* breakfast in bed
* trying six delicious wines at a wine tasting (something I've ALWAYS wanted to do--and now I have!l and you should all arrange to do one too!)
* being able to go out to eat without a child begging to sit in my lap
* getting to cuddle up to my hubby in a movie theatre
* getting a call during the movie from McKenna and hearing that the Louvre is everything you've always imagined!
* saying "I love you" and hearing "I love you"
* seeing Delaney and Sydney again (enjoying a weekend without them is great, but the joy of having them jump in my arms is just as great!)
* letting the kissy-happy feelings continue here at home!

Wow, does that sound wonderful! Glad you could do that. It's always so good for the soul of the marriage to have some one-on-one such as that. Ahhhhh.

Yup, there's definitive proof that Cheryl was well and truly inebriated! That bottle is not your husband! I repeat, it's an inanimate object. You might think that it moves around but that is just the alcohol running through your head!
What will you be taking pictures of next?! Levitating pens? Laundry basket clothes? Oh dearrrrrr. ;)

Seriously though, you guys are really cute together and the picture of the grape field is very very good indeed :)

Aaaaaw! What a sweet, wonderful, romantic weekend. I love Chianti! My favorite wine. The winery is beautiful. I must go this summer.

William is doing much better today. He was up and ready to get to the "Y" this morning. He's a real trooper.

Blessings!

Hi, Cheryl, I think we both live in B'ham, so it's so nice to meet you. I found your blog through Southernheart's & decided to click over & check out your blog. So glad I did. I've heard great things about La Dolce Vita...we must go there sometime too.

We have discovered another winery out in Harpersville called Morgan Creek that is really fun too. They do music & wine tastings all during the summer & we really enjoyed it last year. What a small world! I've met so many ladies from AL already.

Come visit me!

AWESOME!!! Happy Anniversary Looks like you two kids had a great time, and thanks for sparing us from reading what sleeping in really meant WINK WINK! haha

When I saw the word chianti All i could think of was this line from silence of the lambs
"A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti."
