Life in the Wray Household
(not too terribly exciting, but this is what we are! lol)

My internet was screwed up yesterday, so I didn't get a chance to share some pictures from this past weekend! So...just a day or so too late...here are some for you all.

(I mentioned already that we had a very low-key weekend. We are VERY busy people, so it was nice--and kinda unique, too--to have a weekend like we had.)

A few pics from this past Friday through yesterday...

Friday

Enjoying the sprinkler (Delaney and her friend, Erin)...

Saturday

Catching some special sister time on camera. McKenna reading to Sydney...

Sunday

Having a blast Sunday night at a Happy Birthday Party at church. We had an old-fashioned potluck (the BEST--and a LOT--of food!) and then had tables decorated for each month; we had to sit at our birthday month table and meet some people maybe we'd never met (an older man sat down right next to me who had my exact same birthday as mine--Aug. 31--and we had the best time talking). The tables were so pretty, the cakes were delicious, and it was just a fun time...

(that was our August table. So pretty!)

(Miss Lossie was the oldest woman present--she's over 90--she was named the Birthday Princess!)

Monday

Yesterday was official Back to School Clothes Shopping Day with the girls and let me just say that they power-shopped enough for me for quite some time! They all love to try on clothes and we found some great stuff. We ended the day with frappacinos from Starbucks and bubble tea (this really cool new concoction that McKenna enjoyed)...

Now, I know this is Tuesday so I need to share a fun Random Tuesday post. Well, I've seen this on a couple of other blogs lately so thought I'd share my own version of it.

Here are 10 Things I am Lovin' Right Now....

* Sleeping late!
* Milo's splenda sweet tea!
* Anticipating our last Summer softball tournament (we will be starting a Nationals tournament tomorrow)!
* The Closer (finally got to watch a new episode last night; such a good show!)
* My parents (they are SO good to me!)
* Getting new photos in the mail (I just ordered McKenna's Europe pictures and can't wait to get them in the mailbox and work on her scrapbook!)
* Fettucini alfredo (made it using my favorite recipe last night!)
* Pina coladas (hoping to have one tonight with my sweet hubby!)
* Laughing with good friends!
* Listening to sports talk radio!

What are 10 things you are lovin right now? Or, if you are short on time this morning, what are one or two favorite things? Inspire me with your favorites and maybe I can find something new and cool to discover and enjoy today!

Have a fantastic Tuesday!

Such wonderful pictures, Cheryl! Love the church celebration of birthdays, how awesome! And I can't imagine trying on the clothes that we buy... although maybe I SHOULD so I don't have to go back and exchange??? Maybe I really should ask Coco to try on what we bought, I didn't even think of that! duh!
Nice 10 things! I gotta do that, too!

Is it just me, or have your girls grown over the summer?

I'd have to say that one thing I'm loving right now is food! Even when I'm nauseated, I enjoy watching the food network and seeing all the yummy foods!

Such lovely post this morning!
One thing I'm loving today is my tall, ice chai latte. And the movie Ms. Potter. I watched it last night and oh my, what a cute movie!

Hi Cheryl - This is such a joyful post. I just love the summer pics of the kids with their tans - all looking so vibrant and healthy. Your birthday table theme Pot Luck is a wonderful idea ... I am going to pass that idea on to my congregation - it's a great idea. As a non drinker, I have to admit to having discovered Mojitos this summer - at the age of 47 I had my first one. Wishing you and your family a wonderful remainder of the summer. xxx

I so enjoyed the pictures at your church gathering. What a lovely way to spend time with each other.

August--umm my birthday is August 26 and my DH is August 20th. He will turn the big 5-0- this year.

Heh-watch out buying the clothes too early- Cindy outgrew hers in one months time (one time at band camp) *smile*

Take care,
Love,
Terri

It's so good to have a slow weekend once in a while, or at least a slow day. What am I lovin' right now: life, my family, friends, creativity, nature, salads, summer fruit, my camera, day trips, the finished few chapters of my first novel, a clean house . . . and I could go on and on. xoxo

Oops! I've probably said this before, but your children are beautiful. xoxo

How I love old fashioned church pot lucks!! I miss those from when I was growing up. My church here in Florida just doens't have the same potlucks....I am so hungry now., just thinking about it.

Great post. I have a birthday potluck question -- what do you do with younger kids? Did y'all have a special section for kids? I was thinking that if the mom's birthday was in June and a four year old's was in October . . .does that make sense?

What a good post. It's always such fun looking at your pictures.

Oh, school clothes shopping. This will be the first time in a while that I've been able to just shop for one child. And a girl at that. We're gonna start on Thursday...when there will be no taxes applied in GA. I'm all about saving money.

As far as what I'm loving right now, he's a few: 1. LIFE, 2. Spending fun girl time with Jayla. She's SOOO much fun. 3. Good health for all those in my family 4. my van is running 100% now and I don't have to put it in the shop this week. 5. My friends

That's about it for now. I'm SURE that I could come up with some more. But I'll stop here :-).

What a fun idea for a potluck! Two of my faves right now are both at Mickey Ds ~ the $0.99 hot fudge sundae or the three chocolate chip cookies. Can't beat the price and they both taste good!

How do you do that? You have a wonderful way of bringing ordinary things to life. Loved the pics at church. What a neat idea. I will have to tell our ladies at church about that. Our summer ends tomorrow. We head back to school Thursday...yuck...Have a fantabulous last week off....PS I love my parents too...They are so good to me.

Awesome sprinkler pics. Can't wait to take my 5-yr-old shopping for school clothes in a few weeks.
A few of the things I'm loving right now (cause it's summer!) is: having TIME to watch my kids play whether it be at home or at the beach/park, no schedule (on most days), seeing my girlfriends more often for play and coffee dates, eating yummy summer foods, like ice cream, and close to the top is scrapbooking ALOT more (guilt-free!), as I don't have time during the teaching year. Have a great day, everyone!
