A Quiet Midnight...

Okay, seriously, do any of you realize how much a 3-year-old talks??!!! Scout talks ALL THE TIME and I love that she's so precocious, and smart, and witty...but sometimes Mommy wants to pull her hair out (not S's, but mine! lol) I always thought that Delaney was my talkative child (she literally would stand in her room with the door closed and talk to the walls!!), but I now know that it was because God was simply preparing me for the true Chatterbox who lives with us now!

Gosh, I love her to pieces...but she was all talk today!! And now, I am enjoying this quiet, everyone-is-asleep twenty minutes after midnight!!

I wanted to pop on here and post this layout that I did today.I totally LOVE it, but you'll have to ignore that icky line going down the left side of the page. I guess my scanner is screwed up, because it did that on every scan I tried tonight. (I had two other pages I was so excited about and wanted to share...but I guess I'll have to take photos of them later and and share them that way!)

So, anyway, ignore the line. But lookie...I got some of McKenna's Europe pics done! This was inspired by the Scrapjacked challenge blog this week...

And I love it because, first of all, its title is provided by the aformentioned talktative Little Sister. (She does talk all the time, but a lot of it is very witty repartie! Which kinda excuses all the talking and makes it SO worth it! lol)

While McKenna was in Europe, Sydney got to saying, "Wee wee, I'm back from Paree!" I'm not sure where she got it from (probably "Hannah Montana"!!) and it was perfect since her sissy was in Paris at the time. When McKenna arrived home, that was one of the first things we said to her.

So I used that line for the title, and put a picture of the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and McKenna with some street performers. I'm going to do a similar page about London and put these two pages in my general scrapbook for the year. Then, I'm going to put the rest of the pics in a mini album dedicated to her Europe trip.

Speaking of which....

I think I'm going to work on the Europe mini album this Friday night when Adrienne and I scrap together!!! Yay!! We are having a "Scrap While You Watch High School Musical 2 Party"!!!

Okay, now everyone with me now...

Let's tiptoe upstairs, being careful not to make much noise...

Sshhh, Ssshhhh...

Yep, it's still quiet!!

(But only six more hours and it won't be anymore!!)

I totally understand the chatterbox phase. My 4 year old boy and my 2 1/2 year old boy talk all of the time. My 6 year old girl used to as well but not so much anymore. Enjoy your peace and quiet where you can get it!

Adrienne--You are awake at 2 am?!! I believe it!!! I can't wait to scrap either!!!!! We'll do it until we can't do it any more!!
Telah--Thanks about the jack! I really loved it!!! 10 girls over to watch it? WOW!!!
Nina--McKenna is the silent type, unless she gets hyper. But D and S are such talkers!!!!
Gin--3 year olds are a hoot! And thanks!
Momof3--Welcome!!! I know what you mean--I have to enjoy her at this tage, even if she talks all the time. LOL She really is such a sweetie, and she keeps things interesting!!

Love the layout and it is quiet in my house because two of the three are in school. Yeah! Have a great day.

Funny, funny. My youngest one has always been the talker. That boy loves to talk. And gets very offended if you tell him he has to hush. I try to never be the one sitting next to him at the theater - he makes comments every 3 seconds during the entire movie. DRIVES ME NUTS! But he's so cute...makes up for a lot of that. lol
Love the scrapbook page, BTW. And really love the title!

The LO is wonderful! Great shot of the Louvre too!

I'm jealous-- I wish I could join you and Adrienne for a scrap night.

Have fun!!!

The talking must be a girl thing. My niece is like that. She's been talking non stop since she was two. She's 9 now and she hasn't stopped. It's fuuny sometimes, because I just want to scream and say WILL YOU BE QUIET!!! But I can't do that... Now can I? Don't want to stifle her communication. LOL!!!

I swear my girls had there off buttons broken "off" when they were little. LOL. They are all chatterers (is that a word?). My 6 year old especially.

Oh my...you've been blessed with a talker too??? Can you imagine Scout and Jayla in the same room...those poor, poor walls. LOL.

Love the LO. Can't wait to see what else you do with McKenna's pictures.

Sounds like you and Adrienne are gonna have fun Friday night. We're taking Jayla to a HSM2 party at one of her soccer buddies house. Not sure I'm looking forward to it though :-).

Me and my scrapping buddies are having an all day crop on Saturday (9am - 11pm). Hope I get some great LO's done!!

Adriann--I wish you could join us for our cropping!!! I'm really bad becaue there are times when I do loook at Sydney and say, "Can you please just not talk right now?" Bad, huh?

My son used to talk non-stop. We considered getting him a t-shirt that said, "I'm talking and I can't shut up," but "shut-up" was a bad word so, well, you know. My daughter, 2.5 years younger, was fairly quiet but I think it was only because he never gave her a chance to talk. Somewhere along the line the power shifted and now she only stops when she's asleep.

OY!

I love your scrap page. I wish I had your talent AND gumption. I scrap occasionally. Thoroughly enjoy it while I'm doing it, but I don't keep up with it. Pretty much like everything else.

I love the layout. The pictures are so good, especially the one of the Lourve. And I think it is so cute that Sydney inspired the title!

My only exposure to High School Musical was two seasons ago when Monique Coleman was on Dancing with the Stars. Hope you have a great time watching and scrapping!
