Hello! I'm Here!! (And some scrappy stuff!)

(Aargh...my Internet--and cable tv--has been out all day and I'm just now getting to get back online. I had wanted to post some of my scrapbook pages, since I would have Random Tuesday tomorrow and I hate to get "off track." But I'm trying to just go with the flow and roll with the punches. Although, seriously, I was going to punch someone out if the television wasn't back on by tonight when "Heroes" premieres. But all is well with the world now...)

Okay, so how about some of my recent scrapbook creations?

This first one is for the Unpubbed challenge this week. I loved this super cool design that was the inspiration for our creations this week. Here's what I came up with (using a recent fave picture of Mom and I together)...

And then I got to sit down and work on a couple of pages devoted to my birthday celebrations. If you'll remember, we have this tradition of going out bowling for my birthday every year (the only time we ever go bowling!). We had SUCH a fun time this year that there had to be a page dedicated to it...

And then I sat down and worked on a couple of layouts for a class I'm teaching at Scrapbook Mania on Saturday, Oct. 13. The class is called "Fast & Easy Scrapbook Layouts" and will provide all sorts of tips and techniques for getting great pages done fast. I did two of the pages last night and this morning.

This first one, seriously, only took me like 30 minutes to put together. Easy, breezy, but oh-so-cute (at least I think so!). It's got pictures of Sydney with her different softball friends...

And then this next one took maybe 45 minutes (making the fun little crinkly paper flowers took the most time of all, but seriously...if I can do a page in less than an hour, I am HAPPY!) I really love these colors and these papers and they work great with the picture here of McKenna. The page just talks about how danged proud I am to be her Mom; she is the coolest teenager ever and just so "together" that it's crazy! (The line down the right side is giving me fits, not sure why it's there!)...

(By the way...I will give you all more updates about the class later on. But if you're near by and would like to come to the class, I would LOVE to have you. Just let me know if you want me to sign you up! It's Oct. 13 from 1-3 and $15 plus materials. It will be so much FUN and I'd love to see some of you! I will post pics of all the layouts as class time gets closer!)

And then--now that my tv is back working again. Hallelujah!--I can't wait for THIS to come on tonight.

(And in honor of the show, I've put a little bit of "Peter Petrelli" love on my video today. It's Fergie's latest video starring the cutie-patootie from "Heroes.")

Have a GREAT one!!!

Cheryl, I love your scrapbook layouts and maybe one of these days I'll make it to a class! But I've been meaning to say, I was so glad a little while back when you wrote about how you don't do these great layouts for all your photos, but just do some real basic slap'em on a background pages. I get so frustrated because I just don't have time to do all the great layouts I want to, so I'm going to try to start focusing on the ones that really inspire me and just do some very basic stuff for the others. (P.S. Thanks for the mention of Bhamdining.com a while back, too!)

I love your Unpubbed layout! I can't wait to lift you! You're the next famer!! woo hoo!

And did Heroes just not rock your socks off? When they said, "and now for the conclusion" I had to do a double take at the clock, that hour went SO FAST. And did you watch Journeyman? Loved it!! 2 great shows on Monday night!

Love your lo's, and can't pick a favorite. HOpe you enjoyed your show tonight. I'm off to watch the campy, but intriguing CSI Miami (complete with David Caruso's over-acting).

Blessings.
