It's Almost Trick or Treat Time...
Sydney just came to me and asked, "When is it gonna be Halloween?"
I told her that we'd go trick-or-treating later tonight.
"That's TOOOOOOO long to wait," she answered.
Ain't that the truth, when you're a kid? Christmas Morning takes FOREVER to get here; the moment when you drive out of your driveway for summer vacation never gets here; the week before your birthday is the LONGEST ever!! All the anticipation and excitement...
When she came back and asked me again, I tried to spell it out for her: "We'll pick up the girls from school, then come home and eat, then get our costumes on to go trick-or-treating."
"That's so bu-wing [her version of 'boring']. I don't like to pick up the gurls from school."
Okay, so she's being a little Stinker as she gets ready to go trick-or-treating. But she's gonna have to wait just a few more hours at least...
Until then, I found a few cutie-patootie pictures of the girls when they were VERY young getting all dressed up for the Big Night.
McKenna on her 2nd Halloween, dressed up as a Dalmatian (bless her heart, she had NO hair!)...
Delaney on her 2nd Halloween, all decked out as a pink butterfly...
And Sydney on her first Halloween. There was never a cuter bumblebee, if I do say so myself...
And then here they are all "grown up." Well, kinda, sorta...not really!
Enjoy your Halloween night. Whether you're trick-or-treating, doing the church thing, partying like a rock star, or whatever floats your boat. Remember...it's all in fun! And besides, what's beter than pretending you're someone else and getting candy for it? (Personally, I plan on doing it until I'm well in my 90s!!)
(and if you missed our "offical" pics of the entire family, continue below!)

Oh my goodness, Sydney sounds like Jayla did this morning. Poor thing has NO concept of time. I can't tell you how many times she asked me, "Mom, is it in a few days yet?" LOL Finally, yesterday, she realized that Halloween is TOMORROW (well, today now!). She about hit the ceiling when I woke her up this morning. "Hey MOM...is it Halloween today, yet?" Now that she's home from school, she wants to take a nap, so that when she wakes up, it'll be time to get dressed up, lol.
Your girls are too funny. I love when people dress up little kids. Your girls have changed so much.
Have a fun, safe night tonight.
Happy Halloween... Watch out for the goblins..look both ways when you cross the street...stay together... only go to people you know..

Felisa had an entire conversation with hubby this morning explaining that it wasn't halloween yet because it wasn't dark outside.
