We interrupt your morning for a short "Mommy Moment"
Last night, as we were all getting ready to head for bed, I peeked around the corner of the door to Sydney's room. She was sitting on the floor, playing contentedly by herself. It was the perfect time to just steal a little peek at her, observe her quietly, and just appreciate the little person she's becoming. (Don't you love little moments like that?). I guess she sensed my presence, for she looked up from the floor and gave me a sweet, winsome little look. While standing up, she said, "I love you too, Mommy."
I hadn't said a word, but I guess she could just see it in the expression on my face. I'm sure IT had said, "I love you." She walked to the doorway, hugged my legs, and looked up at me. I leaned down and we gave each other a kiss. "Can you read my mind, sweetie?" I asked her. She just smiled a slight smile. I guess daughters can just feel these things, but she was right...she HAD read my mind. I do love her. And it's moments like those that make it all the more real to me.

It's moments like this that make people want to have kids. It doesn't get any better than this. Gosh, I wanna run home and hug my little Connor. This is the perfect journaling for a Sydney page.
what a sweetie!
Oh my goodness, you almost made me cry!!! I absolutely LOVE moments like those. Thank God, I get to have those moments a lot with my Jayla. It can be quiet or everyone is kinda doing their own thing, and out of the blue, "I love you mommy!" It's like she sometimes feels that she HAS to say something. How awesome is it that "I LOVE YOU, MOMMY", is what she HAS to say??? Love my little girls!!!
What a sweet moment for you.
