Good Stuff Right Now...
* Baguettes with olive oil and parmesan cheese, paired with a glass of good red wine
* A good book to read (I just started Water for Elephants; Gary just finished it and said it was the best he'd read in a while.)
* Crisp, clear, cool morning air
* A #2 ranking for my Crimson Tide!
* Good television (although I don't really have time to watch it, thank goodness for DVR! I've got "Chuck" and "Heroes" back again, and I've discovered a new show, "Fringe," that I really like.)
* A refrigerator and pantry full of food
* Bunko with girlfriends tonight
What's good right now with you?

Hey Cheryl, I am loving this cool weather too! Hey! If yall need an extra for Bunco tonight call me and I would love to come! We could even have it at my house one month!
Hey Cheryl,
I think "Water for Elephants" was my favorite book of the year in 2007. I'm glad you are reading it.
What's good with me?
-A beautiful cauliflower sitting on my kitchen counter waiting to be cooked for dinner.
-An hour over coffee and muffins with another retired couple from church this morning.
-A cool, rainy afternoon stretching before me in which I will try to finish the journalling on my scrapbook project.
Sounds good, huh?
Have a great one.
~hippo hugs~
Cheryl ~ You had me at "Baguettes"! ~ jb///
Hey Misty--We actually have everyone tonight. I'm actually a sub also, so I don't go every month. But I always tell them to ask me if they need someone!!! :-) (I thought about you after the GA game the other night. Excited for us, of course, but I do hope you guys run the table. I'd like Bama and UGA in the SEC championship!)
Pam--Gary LOVED that book, and I had read all sorts of great reviews of it.Ooh, nothing like a rainy afternoon for creativity. Have fun!
LZ---Ooh, I know!! I could eat an entire loaf of them!! Mmmmm...

I have to add something to my "good" list. I just made airline reservations to go to Vegas to see Brian and Gretchen for Thanksgiving. WHOO HOO!!!
Just had to share this good news with someone.

What is bunko? Is that like a jammie party?
Are you going to be having baguettes with your bunko tonight. Try not to get the girls drunk on the red wine. They'll be safe from Gary though as he'll be outside in his box practicing his carols for Christmas :-)
Awesome header picture! Autumn is definitely upon us. Hopefully it'll stay like Autumn for quite a long time and make it a short Winter ... actually can we all just skip the Winter part and go straight from Autumn to Spring??? Cool beans! :-)
I just finished Water for Elephants and it was amazing. After that I read Lottery by Patricia Wood, and it was really good too!
Good things here...
A day at the park with my son playing in the sandbox.
I'm having fun taking photos to participate in the Ali Edwards challenge.
I'm watching the Harry Potter movies in order as I rent them from Blockbuster Online.
It doesn't take much to make me happy. LOL
Adrienne--I still haven't watched Heroes from last night. It's still on my "To watch" list.Hopefully I can get to it this evening.
Queen--GOOD for you!! Sounds like things are going your way.
Marg--Mmmm...wine's always good.
Pam--YAY!! How fun!! I've always wanted to go to Vegas. You will have a super time!
King--LOL You are TOO much!! Bunko is this dice game that you get together and play with other gal pals. And, yep, I guess we could eat baguettes at our Bunko game. LOL
Heather--I did't get on the Ali Edwards' Week in the Life project. But I want to do it next week!!!
Good in my world is cool weather allowing me to get many things done outside; having lots of furry four-leggers to love and be loved; still loving where I live after a year and a half; liking myself and where my life is.
For me, it couldn't be much better than those things.
:)
I've read thirty pages of Water for Elephants but haven't picked it up for awhile. It's a well written story, I just am going through a fluffy reading stage!
I wish I had a bunko group! I used to play it when I lived in Wisconsin.

I am also LOVING the cooler days! It's so nice to be able to turn off the air conditioner and open all of the windows.
I may have to look for Water for Elephants. I need a new book to read.
What's good?
Homemade chicken noodle soup bubbling on the stove and grilled cheese sandwiches! (Because it's SOUP weather! YEAH!)
